Has anyone been able to score a Black Friday deal on a sub $80 barrel vacuum cleaner which they can tell me about.

A barrel vac under $80 will be about as useful as teats on a bull.
Sure, you can see them, but they are totally useless.
Spend some money and buy something that will take a few knocks as it's dragged around the house, has airflow of >60 litres/second, has 99.99% dust retention, and comes with a decent length power cord.
Forget about "power" or "watts". This is just a measure of how much electricity it will use.
And forget about overpriced, chintzy "bagless" machines. The last thing you want to do is get a lung full of all the crap you have collected from your floors when you empty.
Buy something that has been designed to be efficient, not cheap.

I got a Miele C1 yesterday for $184 from David Jones. Retail is twice that, but a couple of other places are selling it for $199 this weekend.

I get plenty of <$80 units for free when i go street scrapping. They are junk
