Dont leave your girlfriends place to catch the bus just to find out that its
running 20 minutes late. Those 20 minutes could be better spent having fun times!

Good grief! Doesn't sound like your regular itunes App description.

If I was the girlfriend, I'd be saying, "don't contact me until you get your own car"!

  • Is the text charged as premium text or standard??

This should be discussed in the Forums… Freeware is not a bargain…

Perhaps you need to read the wiki jv!? The link you've provided, under examples of what you should post, "(Free for now but later on not free)", is the category this app falls under because the description of the app on iTunes reads "Free for a limited time dudes!"

if it ever becomes a paid app, I'll change my vote, until then, this is just an advertisement from the Rep

It's scheduled to become paid tomorrow. There's even an ad-supported version available. Why would you not believe it's free for a limited time when it even says so?

edit: Link to ad-supported version here http://itunes.apple.com/au/app/sydney-buses-stops-free/id453…

  • Bit of a waste of time app really. It'd be HEAPS better if the bus stops were actually pinned onto the other App.

For example, if you catch a bus from Sydney City, and the bus stop location is listed as "George Street"… where exactly do you stand and wait?

    • What other app?

The bus stop location is a pin, so I guess you stand where the pin is? I'm probably not getting what you mean though lol.

edit: Did you mean Link? You can press the map button in the toolbar at the top of the screen and it will show you where you get on and off as pins. This app isn't related to Link though.

      • Yeah, I meant Link. Never found the pinning thing when I used Link Express

But now looking at App Store I just noticed that even Link Express now has the SMS thingy inbuilt.

So this new App is pretty much useless anyway. Why bother with it when you can get the same plus more using one of the existing Link Apps?

        • Well, the app's purpose isn't to tell you where the bus stop is. If you've ever tried to use 0488TXTBUS before, you need a bus stop number which is on a sticker at the bus stop. This is pretty useless if you're at home and wondering when you need to leave the house.

This app assumes you know where your bus stop is but don't know the number. You're right in that you can access the same feature in Link, but this is quicker and doesn't require network access.

  • Any chance you giving Link out for free again?

    • Oh yeah for sure when I get more promo codes for it.

  • Same here, I missed the last 2 Link giveaways.
