Should there be a page for fellow Ozbargainer’s to add reviews of products that they have bought. I think that productreview.com.au is dodgy and would rather have reviews from the OzBargain community. I think there should be another tab next to forums called reviews where product reviews can be written. Write your opinion below and vote in the polls.

That’s true but it would be much easier if we were able to just search by product and find reviews rather than digging through comments.

Also need a method to verify that the item reviewed has indeed been purchased and used by the reviewer. Could simply be a photograph of the product/receipt with a scrap of paper that has your OzBargain username on it in the photo. However, I am sure there are smarter ways to do this
On reddit if you want to privately verify something you can submit it so only mods can see it.
Could do something similar if you don’t have a receipt, maybe take a photo with the item while holding a bit of paper with something identifying on it so a mod/power user can review it.

I’m guessing OzBargain is gonna create good guidelines.
You'll never be able to control the quality of the reviews and which ones are shills or just incompetence of the end user. Not something I would use personally as there's enough info about almost anything around to make your own mind up.
Sometimes it just helps to get others opinion though.
But you would soon learn who are the good reviewers and who are incompetent
Sounds good, avoid having to trawl through every previous posting of the same item to figure out what people think.
Alternatively; maybe the ability to tag a comment as a review and the search for the specific tags?
That’s also good but it reviews for products should be searchable like deals for products.
There's already pages for products so it's just adding a tag to make it searchable.
Don't forget someone will be having to work on making it work.

Good idea. Plus I think it would be nice to have some of those things like "cash back" explained in more detail.
I see things like $1 cash back… what a waste of time… when you receive Velocity points on other sites.And product page should also have price history
If you want unbiased review then subscribe to Choice
People tend to write their opinions on the comments of the actual posts but having a dedicated section might be worthwhile too.
