XMAS

We wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year on Ozbargain. For 2 days only we are offering 30% off all full priced items (excluding Weekly Special items) storewide when using the code XMAS. Just in time for Christmas.

Ugg Australia® we have been making sheepskin boots for over three decades in our former Brunswick factory. Operating Australia’s last and ONLY sheepskin tannery, "Roman Tannery", for footwear guarantees that we are the only one in the world who has 100% Australian Made Ugg boots.

We encourage all customers to do some research when looking to purchase any brand of Ugg Boots.

Ensure you purchase from reputable websites or stores.
Contact details - If you can't find the business address or contact number of the business you have purchased boots from, who will help you with customer issues.
There are so many sheepskin boots out there claiming to be 100% Australian Made. How can you tell one authentic boot from the rest?

What to ask your retailer when buying your sheepskin products.

Where are your skins from?
Where are they processed?
Are the boots hand cut, hand stitched, hand glued in Australia?
Ask for the address of manufacturer and tannery. There should be no reason why your retailer cannot provide you with details of the origin of your boots.

All Ugg Australia® products are 100% Australian made at our factory and ecologically processed at our Roman Tannery in Laverton North, Melbourne.

  • Tried twice with 2 different, full priced items. Didn't seem to work?
"XMAS discount code isn’t valid for the items in your cart"

    • Which items are included in your cart?

Code is not working on any full price item. Waste of time

    • What items have you put into your cart?

  • Upvote since they claim that ALL of their products are 100% made within Australia.

Unlike the Ugg owned by american Deckers Brands and made in China.

    • Ugg Australia is a trademark of Decker - are you sure these aren't those people?

      • I don't think you're right but stand to be corrected. Please double check but Decker's is http (//) au (dot) ugg (dot) com

As stated below, we have no association with Deckers. All of our products are 100% Australian made with Australian skins in our factory in Laverton North, Victoria.

  • Yeeeeah, I can't support an American company that literally stole the idea of Ugg boots and then trademarked it so that local Aussie companies can't call their boots "Ugg boots", while simultaneously trying to pass themselves off as Aussie. Deckers are scum.

OP's post links to UggAustralia and reading their web page:

As the only sheepskin manufacturer in Australia, our family owned company takes great pride in using ecologically friendly techniques complying with the highest Global EPA standards to bring you high quality plush 100% Australian Merino sheepskins.

The American Decker's site is http au (dot) ugg (dot) com

      • Yeah, but "Ugg Australia" is actually what Deckers trademarked: https://search.ipaustralia.gov.au/trademarks/search/view/785…

        • That trademark is for the logo: the words combined with the image

OPs post seems to be an independent local company that manufacturers within Australia. I’ve messaged the OP to confirm.

          • @00: Hmm. Very confusing (which is the point of trademarks!)

            • @[Deactivated]: yes, it’s a travesty that an american company can trademark the word ugg

I wonder if an aussie company can trademark ‘hot dog’ or ‘baseball’

  • +2

Op has confirmed that they have no association with the american multinational.

Also from their website: ”ALL our products are registered with the Australian Made Organisation to carry the Australian made and owned label and many of our products also qualify to carry the "Product of Australia"
