                • @Lucifersfury82: I think I'll be doing likewise. Just checked their website, under Refunds and Returns, it says:

                  On 24 November 2019,University Co-Operative Bookshop Limited (the Co-operative), trading as Curious Planet (formerly Australian >Geographic), was placed into Voluntary Administration (VA).

                  During this time, refunds are unavailable.

                  Strange they'd even state a refund will be forthcoming.

                          @Lucifersfury82: I ended up getting an email reply before end of workday. They explained that there are some delays with refunds due to voluntary administration, and to give it a further 3-5 business days.

                          • @cheapsuit: Yep I got a similar email explaining the current refund timeframe is 3-10 days.

                            • @penno2: I got a "Credit Memo" email last night. But still no refund. This is now 8 days after the "Order Refunded" email. I smell a rat.

                              • @stumo: I went in store yesterday (2 weeks after failing to pick up my click and collect order due to a stock error) and they customer service is off the charts dodgy. I think they have been told something about money and are basically delaying everything they can. I had to 'trust' that the store would process my cancellation and process the refund, with no paperwork or proof to be seen….absolutely appalling..
                                They store in question is now running off a mobile phone number, with staff seemingly having no idea WHAT is going on. Even more bizarrely nothing in the store is on special and matches the online store…weird

      There's a sign in store saying sth to the effect of delays due to the administration process.

          No, I didn't ask and the casual staff are unlikely to know.

    • Been going through the same process since the 12th, called the store several times and then someone manually put one through but did reaffirm that it might take another 7-10 days due to being under administration.

      • 7-10 working days apparently (a few weeks at least)

    They arent doing refunds. You need to do a chargeback yourself. Great way to steal money.

  • so I received a refund today but it was not the full amount and can't find a contact (don't have a store anywhere near me) do I do a charge back for a partial refund? I'm getting annoyed with none of their emails being monitored, glad they are going out of business!

  • I lodged a chargeback (Coles Mastercard) - later the same day I got a "Credit Memo" email, saying I've been refunded and it might take 1-3 business days to show up. Nine days later (today) I've received the funds back into my account. I'm not sure how to tell if it's from the company or the chargeback being executed. Not that it matters a whole lot, I guess.

  • After multiple emails promising refunds since December and then no response from emails to the administrators, I initiated a chargeback and now have my money back from the one undelivered item
    Looks like the chargeback was in my account that same day I lodged it

  • Just remembered about this and had quick check on credit card statement for the refund.
    Email for refund was received on the 13th Dec and I got the full amount refunded to my credit card on the 8th Jan.
