Flexiroam Starter Kit with 2GB Data $14.49 Delivered (Various Destinations Available) @ Call Cloud

11

Great for those planning travel over the Xmas/NY period.
Just bought some Flexiroam starter SIM packs for my relatives with 2GB Taiwan and 2GB Japan data.
Great price for the Flexiroam SIM and data.

Usual price $40.11, so this is a good discount at $14.51. Good value if you factor in buying a travel SIM and then topping up with data, and not need to waste precious hours of holiday time mucking around getting a SIM card on arrival at destination.

And don't forget to add promo code FRXFLOW for 1 GB global data for 3 days which can be activated when needed - good for emergencies (data expires Mar 2020 if not used).

From my previous research, flexiroam are quite expensive

    • Considering other stores were doing 6gb for around $20 just recently, this isn't great.

  • Why would you get this for Japan when you can get 10gb data from optus prepaid for $20 with 2 weeks validity?

    • Wow - didn't know this. Have you got a link?

edit: just googled it, and yes - wow. Didn't know roaming from Australia has dropped so much in price. Great if you are on Optus prepaid

      • Get a free $2 sim and activate before you leave. You can repeat this every time go overseas. No need to be stuck with optus prepaid.

  • I have used Flexiroam before and to be honest I would only consider them if I was doing multi-leg stop overs in different surrounding countries. (eg. Europe/Asia). However with a bit of researching you can get local sim cards which could cover multiple countries for much more GB and days (to use it) before it expires.

The concept works OK but they will use the cheaper phone provider (don't expect them using Telstra, for example in AU - they use Vodafone).
Still your better off just buying local sim (when you land) or see if your existing telco provider have competitive global roaming packages.
