Is it possible to get cashbacks for future subscription orders?

Not the initial subscription order but when the next subscription comes up

    • +1

nope, re cashrewards - "Gift Cards, Vouchers, Charity, Non-Profit items, Subscribe & Save purchases, and Amazon Prime memberships are ineligible for Cashback."

  • Maximum of 3

  • +1

    Got 2, thanks OP.

  • +1

Anybody know if future deliveries will be at this price?

    • Future deliveries will be at the price at that time but will always be less than the available (unsubscribed) price.

No, but there'll be a similar saving (~$2) versus the listed price then.

    • +1

Definately risky leaving the subscription in place. Prices periodically go as high as $35 and more often sit aroubd $24 to $28.

Youe only guarantee is that it will be 10% cheaper.

  • +5

    Must resist soft drinks!

    • +1

      Resist, Bought.

    • +1

      Lost the battle :-(
      Ozbargain wins again!

  • -6

    Better value to get 12x 1.25L for $21.60 / $19.44

    • +10

I prefer cans personally. My 1.25litre bottles run out if gas before I get go through a bottle.

      • +1

Agreed. Especially when I drink shortglasses of coke and bourbon. Barely get half way through the bottle and it's flat.

      • Yep, same here. I find I actually drink less of it if I buy cans, too. I'll buy a box of cans like this, drink one and might not have another for a few weeks. If I buy 1.25l then I have to drink it all in a couple of days or it goes flat. Either that or I just don't finish drinking the bottle and half of it goes down the drain which eliminates the savings from buying the 1.25l bottle in the first place. Although it does leave me with clean drains :P

    • +1

1.25L bottles are usually discounted more. That’s not a good price for them.

    • If you want 12 bottles, it's better value to get 2 packs of 6x 1.25 L for $19.80 / $17.82

    • +1

Regardless, Coke is cheaper per litre when purchased in 1.25L bottles, which was my point.

    • When you factor recycling cashback it works out about the same. Plus it's so much more convenient to have cans, bottles go flat after being opened a few times.

  • thanks
now to remember to cancel the subscription buy once this order turns up :)

    • +2

You can cancel as soon as you’ve ordered. Your initial purchase will still arrive at the discounted rate.

      • I cancelled by sub but it's now automatically trying to cancel the current purchase "at my request". Have re-signed up, but they're still "trying to cancel" the first order. Will see how it plays out.

        • +1

Order ended up being cancelled, so reordering now, will let sub hang until shipped, then cancel :)

          • +3

@walshy002000: Yeah just get into the habit of changing it to a 6 month delivery schedule so you got plenty of time to cancel. I usually wait a few days then cancel, never had an issue.

          • @walshy002000: hope you bought max 3 boxes to make all this effort worthwhile

            • @Frozensage: You have to cancel after it has been shipped, or else it will cancel any existing order

  • +1

    What is expiry like?

    • +21

Expiry is like…when you know deep down she doesn't love you anymore, but you try to pretend everything is still ok.

    • Valid question - Last time I bought on sale the best before was about 4 months time.

  • Can you buy one at subscription. Cancel immediately?

    • This is something I don’t understand about their model. You can do this and you’ve already saved the 10%. The biggest miss of this model is that you get charged whatever price it happens to be on the day. Sometimes coke 36 pack is $27 and other times it’s $21 like this.

      • +2

It’s surprising but not everyone is an ozbargainer…
People throw money away all the time.

      • Amazon probably knows that people will forget to cancel it, and end up getting charged for an overpriced amount later on. It probably more than makes up for the people getting the 10% discount and cancelling.

        • +1

This is why I set all my shipments to 6 month intervals. Surely there’s going to be a moment when I check it and cancel the subscription before then… I just feel bad buying and instantly cancelling but there’s probably no difference.

Actually do you know if you can cancel and ‘resubscribe’ to the same item?

          • @ATangk: No idea sorry, I never even knew about this subscribe and save thing before yesterday I think.

            • +2

@nuttapillar: It’s only been around for a month. Subscription models are everywhere now!

        • They do say they will email you before shipping, so you can cancel, unsubscribe or skip that delivery. "In advance of each delivery, we will send you a reminder email showing the item price and any applicable discount for your upcoming delivery."

    • Yes you can.

  • +12

    Also for Coke no sugar

    • +9

my sister thinks this alternative sugar causes cancer. I ordered two and am going to snapchat me injecting it directly into my eyeballs

      • +16

        There's three types of people

        "White sugar is a killer"

        And

        "Alternatives are worse"

        And

"The 36 pack was better value than the 12 pack"

  • Is this cheaper than Coles/Woolies? I’m not an expert on this but I thought they’re usually on 40-50% off every other week.

    • +1

I compared when I bought during the last deal with half price sale in Coles in NSW. It slightly cheaper. But NSW charges slightly higher not sure about other states.

    • +2

Colesworth (and IGA) usually do a fortnightly roster between the 24pks and 30pks. So yes, there is always one or the other on sale somewhere. Prices generally hover around $14-17 for the 24pk and $18-21 for the 30pk.

I think it’s to circumvent ACCC regulations. You obviously can’t run the same product on special all of the time, and products need to spent a certain amount of time at full price before you can advertise them at a special price. By having the two sizes they can essentially run their can multipacks at a special price all of the time by rotating between the two. They do the same thing with the 1.25L and 2L range.

      • Thanks both. You convinced me to order the Coke No sugar.

    • Coming to Xmas there will be some good savings on soft drink

  • +1

Can anyone comment on how they ship these? Do they just slap a label on it or is it packed into a box with a heap of plastic packaging?

    • +1

In a box with the plastic air cushions

      • +1

Thanks for the reply. Was hoping it would just be the carton with a label on

    • +3

Fills up the recycling bin really quickly.. gotta be careful. Black Friday, I had to walk around the hood using other peoples bins

    • Packed in box. No plastic packaging for me last deal. I had to get them from my post shop and carry it home so I won't order again. Defeats the purpose of ordering online delivery lol

      • +2

That sounds like a delivery fail. I always get them delivered to door or left outside if I'm not home.

        • +1

They won't leave it as I live in an apartment building

  • +1

Cheers OP. Ordered one for the festive season ahead.

  • -2

Just buy them from the supermarket.

    • For a more expensive price.

      • +2

Then carry it yourself to and from your car before it gets to your pantry. No such problem with Amazon.

        • Yep!

  • +2

    Excellent pricing for a 36pack.
Can only buy 3 boxes, but at $19.03 per case that's CHEAP.

Not to be confused with Coles/Woolies 24 or 30 packs. This is a 36 pack. Much cheaper- and its delivered!

Great post OP- ordered 3 on subscription. Just make sure you cancel subscription, because regular pricing on next delivery won't be this good.

    • +2

To prove your point with Coles/Woolies I've done a few calculations below (the same ones I did before choosing which to buy) :) The 24 pack is currently on special at Woolworths (QLD) for $15.50.

Currently, Woolworths staff can get 10% off one shop for December (which I can still access - my husband is staff) and I always use 5% gift cards.

I've also included the 10c per can refund amount in the calculations below.

      Woolworths Staff:
      ($15.50 * 0.90 * 0.95 - $2.40) / 24 = $0.452 per can

      Woolworths:
      ($15.50 * 0.95 - $2.40) / 24 = $0.514 per can

      Amazon (subscription price):
      ($19.03 - $3.60) / 36 = $0.429 per can

      Amazon (with Shopback 12% storewide):
      ($21.15 - ($19.23 * 0.12) - $3.60) / 36 = $0.423 per can

  • No sugar same price too
    I bought that

  • 59c per can. as same as Woolis.

    • It's 53c per can (with Subscribe & Save)

      • +1

Currently $21 for a 30 pack (on sale) at Woolies.

This deal is $19.03 for a 36 pack.

        Not the same as Woolies.

  • Shame that the Diet Coke is $5 more. Both Coke classic and Coke Zero are the same price.

    • What is the difference between zero and diet……I still can't figure it out…

      • Taste.

        A massive difference in taste.
Both are low calorie, but I can't drink a single can of Diet Coke- tastes horrible.

        • Yeah the diet has that weird chemical aftertaste. Zero is pretty good.

      • +1

Diet is meant to be a different taste, sweeter to compete with Pepsi.

Zero/No Sugar is meant to taste like Coke.

      • Coke Zero is no longer made. Coke No Sugar is an inferior substitute.

      • Diet coke has 50% more caffeine than the other cokes.

  • +1

Roughly $1.56/L - Woolies/Coles been around the $1.83/L this time of year.

  • With the subscribe option, does it provide free shipping even if under $39? The cost showed as $38.04 for 2 cartons before confirming the subscription.

    • +1

As long as the total sum was $38.04 then that's all you'll pay, so in short, yes :)

  • woolworth has 24 for $14.10. Works out to be the same price per can.

Use 5% off gc for more discount.

    https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/42605/coca…

    • $14.10 divided by 24 = 58.7c per can.

Above deal is 52.8c per can.

Even with 5% off (takes it down to 55.7c) its still more expensive.

      • -1

It's only a deal if you use subscription, otherwise price is same from woolies, which you can also use 5% off gc to buy as many boxes as you want. Max here you can only get 3 boxes, which is $6 and afew cents? but then you also need to have prime to get the free shipping.

        • +1

That's the point mate… USE the subscription!
Specify 6 months as re-delivery date to give yourself stacks of time, then cancel it once you've got the fist delivery. Not hard.

$19.03 delivered for a 36 pack of coke is the cheapest I've seen in a very very long time.

And if you don't have Prime (why not? its great!) just buy 3 boxes.

  • So tempted to buy for work but unsure if it's a coke workplace

    • Sorry for 30 pack

      • -4

Still works out 1c cheaper per can

        • +3

Still cheaper for prime members at just under 53c per can. Even with the non-subscription price, the 1 cent difference is worth it I think, since it gets delivered to your door. Neg is a bit unfair.

        • +2

$17.22 divided by 30 cans = 57.4 cents per can.

Above deal is $19.03 divided by 36 cans = 52.8 cents per can. DELIVERY included.

          • -5

@UFO: Above deal is $21.15 / 36 which is 58.75 cents so more expensive

            • @sammyk: The price is $19.03, are you really that against saying you messed up? Who do you think you're fooling?

              • -3

@Vinodra: This deal is not as good as everyone has made it out to be given the problems people have had with cancelling. Furthermore, retailers appreciate the value in bulk selling. For example, paying the price per can for 36 compared to 30 is a very different proposition. The extra 6 cans reduces your flexibility to get a better deal. The subscription service albeit cancel able will not be cancelled by all this allowing amazon to capture more of the market share and reduce competition and therefore pricing going forward. Although these concepts might be hard for you to understand, the retailers know what they are doing and the gross $ received is a better outcome for them - hence worse for consumers.

            • @sammyk: Come on mate. The deal is for $19.03… not sure why you're still sticking to your guns on this.

              Subscribe, receive delivery, cancel. Easy.

              • -4

                • @sammyk: Wow. Hard for me me to understand?

Mate, you are definitely on the wrong site.
You need to head over to the retailers association forum to discuss the impact of volume discounting and how its bad for those poor billion dollar Coles and Woolies outfits.

In the meantime, people who are seeking a bargain will continue to use this site.

You keep shopping at poor old Woolies. They'll love your extra "donations" there for the same product.

                • @sammyk: There are no issues cancelling. In fact, it couldn’t be easier. What issues are you referring too? I haven’t seen anyone say they’ve had issues.

  • +1

Bought 3 cartons of Coke No Sugar. With the 10 cents deposit refund we have in SA means I'm only paying 42.8 cents per can on subscription plus cashrewards as well. This is about as cheap as I've ever bought.

  • -1

It's only a deal if you use subscription, otherwise price is same from woolies, which you can also use 5% off gc to buy as many boxes as you want. Max here you can only get 3 boxes, maybe 6 if you wanna go for 2 flavous of coke. but then you also need to have prime to get the free shipping. Seems like alot this and that, but then this is ozbargain.

    • +1

You can canel the subscription immediatly with no penalty, and why would you expect amazon to send you a 14.5 Kg package for free if you aren't a prime member or dont meet the minimum spend of $39?

      • 2 boxes meet the minimum spend of free shipping for non-Prime members…

        • Dont know why you're telling me this… But its wrong, 19.03 x2= 38.06

  • $24 bucks in Coles with three beach towels 54 cans 18 x 3

    • an 18 pack at coles is currently 15.35…. therefore 36 cans for $30.70. The amazon offer is much better?

  • It depends where u live in vic Coles do em for $8

    • $8…. for a 32 pack of coke
