Cheapest of this model of SD card that I've seen so far, shipped from the US so only delivery time is a minor inconvenience but worth it for this price

Not a bargain when compared to Evo Plus/Select which has U3 transfer speeds compared to U1 on this, and the price was around $46 for 256 gig.

    • What is the price for those ones right now?

  • i can never understand the technology and term that SD card folks use … which one is the fastest .. which one is the slowest .. don't answer that .. i don't want to know .. am just saying that it needs a revamp

    • I'd hope that cards being sold these days (in this sort of price range) would all be close to each other in terms of performance, so you wouldn't really go wrong when purchasing one.

would all be close to each other in terms of performance

They're not, so it's important to know the difference if you're going to use them for things like additional read/write storage on laptops, tablets etc.

    • I agree, it is kinda crazy.
To make things easier, look at them this way:

V30 A2: If you buying it to use with your dash cam, mobile phone, console. This is the recommended one. "V" stands for video speed class which 30 supports 4k and 8k

10 A1: If you don't need performance, just want some kind of storage and so on. Sure, it "will do"

      I still don't understand!

Sure, meaning if you use anything less than a V30 card on mobile devices, it will drain the battery faster because if requires more processing to write the data which will also generates more heat.
Also, I wouldn't swap Sandisk with no other brand.

  • Would this be fine for a Switch?

    • Nope if don't wanna your battery draining.

  • Damn, all the stores seem to be trying to get rid of this model. Last 2 weeks, I lost the count of how many deals for this model.

If you are planning to use this card with your dash cam, game, and so on, think again. It does not have great performance for that and does not support 4k.
Extreme series is the only one recommended. Plus series will drain the batteries faster due to low performance when writing.

  • Apparently the Samsung U3 is 3x faster on switch
