I have one of these at my desk. Can fart all day during work hours and nobody notices…..

Either the fan is really loud, or it's so good that it can hide an SBD.

Let me guess: you're the guy who puts fish in the office microwave

    • i ordered one of these for my work desk too.

It was just to clean the dusty air but I have to take your hypothesis and see if it works in a different working environment

How many people have tried to put their rubbish in it? These look like a space-age dustbin.

How much is the replacement filter ?

and replacement interval / filter life span ?

it may look fancy, but rather buy a xiaomi for better performance. or something like a Dyson Pure Cool, DP04

    • Good luck getting that behemoth on your desk!

I can't speak to the quality of the Dyson, but I was deeply disappointed in the Xiaomi purifier I bought (compared to previous Coway models I have), the auto mode doesn't come on nearly enough to clear the air properly (seems to only detect a certain type of particle, while not noticing the air is full of dust).

      • You can manually set favorite mode to your desired fan speed

I am aware, which is something at least, however when I was using it it would automatically switch back to Auto after 30 minutes or so, which really defeats the purpose of setting it. It is commonly complained about on the net. Also, having to turn it on it manually defeats the purpose of having an Auto mode.

          • @mattythecapybara: I'm not experiencing the auto switch back, maybe try updating the firmware on that machine? Yeah, I feel the same, auto mode is useless in Australia

            • @XanderYuan: Auto is probably useful if you're looking for respite from the Sydney bushfires, as I recall it did detect cooking smoke well. But yeah it is not useful for clearing dust.

@mattythecapybara: Updating the firmware corrected that issue.

            • @Romen: Fans have firmware now?

            • @Romen: Thanks, I'll have to pass that on to the family members that have that now.

  • HEPA filter?

  • I tried buying this tonight at the official myer store and the purchase failed. So happy it did cause i just saved $79! THANKS OP

Sharp has been making air purifier for donkey years and they work well. Cost less too.

  • Does this model have a filter that can changed? Didnt think so… the next model up might be better - Pure cool model.

    • Didnt think so…

      Did you check? Didn't think so… ;)

      Easy filter maintenance
Built-in reminders show you when your filter needs changing. It’s quick and easy to do, to ensure your machine is always working at its best.

  • I went to Myer store to get price match to their ebay, but the manager said they would not do that because of policy. weird, used to be ok.

  • Any chance of more stock during the promotion?

    • They had more stock this morning bit I was still undecided at the time, now out of stock again, only MYER know if they’ll have more stock.
