Received offer of 6,000 pts with $100 spend. Just in time as last week I completed the Coles 4 x $80 for 10,000 pts offer.

    • +1

Same; 6000 for $100 spend. Handy a week out from Christmas.

      • +1

        Me too.

        • how do u guys do that? big families?

          • +4

@capslock janitor: I got 6,000 points for $100 spend. I usually spend $30 at WW per week. I’m a single gal living alone. No big family here! They’re just trying to get me to spend more!

            • @sagitox: Same here spending $30/wk targeted for $100.00

          • +3

@capslock janitor: My Mrs & I each have separate cards, who ever gets the best offer is the only card we use until the other card receives a better offer cause they think you're shopping elsewhere so make you a generous offer.

          • +3

@capslock janitor: lots of paper towel and toilet paper. No used by date!

    • +2

I received that offer too. Will have to scour the catalogue and stock up on the half price stuff that I use and last a long time.

I recently had a Liquorland offer - spend $40 per week for 3 weeks in a row and get a $50 gift card. I accepted the challenge and now await my gift card.

    • +1

Same here with 6000 for 100 spend. Haven’t shopped at woolies much lately since Coles has had their 4 week shopping bonus (15000 for 130 spend for 4 weeks), but now that that’s over time to head to woolies.

  • +4

    I got 4000 with 150 spend

    • Same…

      • Same

    • +1

Ditto. I've clearly been spending way too much on one card.
We need to split the weekly shop over 2 or 3 payments with different Rewards cards.

    • Same here. Looks like this offer is targeted.

    • Same, needs $150 for 4000 points.

  • +3

    Must be targeted

  • What's 4000 points worth?

    • +5

      $20 to use at Woolies

    • -5

They could be worth $50 if you convert them to Qantas Frequent Flyer points for saving up for a rewards flight.

      • +1

Not sure the match checks out there, but OK.

        • +4

Not sure the spelling checks out there

          • @capslock janitor: Really depends, what if my spelling was fine but it was the sentence that was a little off?

            Gotta love predictive autofill.

  • +7

That's a pretty good points to spend ratio. All mine have been crap as of late. I really should stop scanning my card each time I buy stuff for breakfast in the morning.

    • +3

they seem to reward those who rarely shop at woolies/coles.. it's a good idea to have a few rewards cards

      • To add to this the offers will progressively get worse each time you activate them.
If you ignore the offers (no activation) they will start to improve even if you are still purchasing from Woolies.

        • looks like no point getting those 'additional' cards thru one account then

        • +1

So true.. Coles has been nudging me to spend $70 per week for 4 weeks to nab 10,000 points.. i want it to go back to $50 so i refuse to participate. They have folded in the past and they will fold again. In the mean time I shop at Aldi and take up the odd offer at Woolies.

      • yep i constantly get these offers (got this one too) and always activate them but rarely actually shop enough to get there. I'll make sure this one gets done though and just hold off on those small purchases until later in the week and get it all together

        • Yes one of these is 30% off and the other 40%. They do not get any better. Plus 18% off GC from ebay UK.

  • +2

OP, do these types of offers come via email ? Or is it through an app ?

I get them from Coles in the Flybuys app, but never seem to get them from Woolies.

    • I got mine via email.

      • I like Flybuys activation thru app, less bloat in my email

        • Like it until it doesn't work. That 10,000 points several weeks ago with Coles… Flybuys just told me after delaying for weeks that there's no sign on their system I activated it - which is rubbish. I clicked it once, and clicked it again later that day because I usually delete them from my inbox afterwards, but it was still there - so I clicked it again. Of course the second time it said I'd already activated it. Dirty liars will do anything to get out of fixing their buggy system - and I bought heaps of stuff in advance to qualify but now lose the 10,000 points which is why I bought it all! I'm so angry.

          • @GregMonarch:

bought heaps of stuff in advance to qualify but now lose the 10,000 points which is why I bought it all! I'm so angry.

            every shoppers nightmare.

          • @GregMonarch: Same happened to me. My flybuys app shows the deal wasn't activated, but the email I clicked on shows its was. And I've been stocking up on purchases to get over $50 each week. Not good.

            • +2

@skysurfer: It usually shows on ur docket if u have qualified for your week 1 of spending. Every week when you shop it will show on your shopping receipt. I don't understand how u would shop every week and not notice if u have qualified for the bonus

              • @qweenDalilahHur: Simple:

                1. How would you 'notice' whether you had, or had not qualified, if you didn't know it says so on the docket. You just assume a nationwide business got their act together to make sure things work, before they roll it out across an entire continent. But no - on Farcebook there are dozens of people who have been cheated out of Flybuys points. So many people in fact, that Flybuys has such a backlog of app and browser-click mistakes to address, that it's taking them 2-3 weeks to reply to each message.

                2. You sure would think it's common sense to assume it says something on the docket, right? But guess what: when I queried WW staff in week 1 about points NOT showing on the docket - they told me POINTS WON'T SHOW UP FOR A DAY OR TWO - and to contact Flybuys if they don't. Why would anyone assume things were any different to what they've been told? And of course, the bonus points required FOUR WEEKS to earn - so staff are saying, "You won't see this weeks points yet…" and four weeks hasn't completed yet for the bigger bonus. So you assume things are - what they told you they are.

                3. You click an email, and it says 'activated'. Later that day you click it again just in case, when it now says: 'you have already activated.' It's not beyond the realm of possibility for that person to assume… that it… activated. Unless there's a magic number of clicking over and over until you see 'deal already activated' 47 times, until it actually is.

                • +1

@GregMonarch: The docket will not show the points straight away. It will only show statement like: “congratulation, you have qualified for week 1”. If you dont see this, most likely it has not been activated yet. It might be flybuys errors. Better to check with Flybuys to confirm that the offer has been activated before continue on week 2.

          • @GregMonarch: Ain't capitalism grand. 😋

          • +2

@GregMonarch: I've gotten into the habit of screenshotting immediately after activating after being f**ked over the same way.

  • +2

nice, I got 4000 pts on $50 spend

best % off in a long time,
plus got it on multiple cards too! must be a first time

  • +7

    As usual, received jack s**t.

    • +5

hey I got the same offer as you :(

      • +1

During their Google Mini offer couple of years ago - I weekly signed up for multiple cards (around 7) with same name/address etc entering the same gmail address with slight difference using the 'dot' technique.

        [email protected]
        [email protected]
        [email protected]

etc etc. All points to the same inbox in gmail but Woolworths treats as different emails.

Added all the cards to the Woolworths Money app and stocard.

Just few mins of effort to make sure that at least one of the cards receive the offer we are looking for.

        • 2 cards, but all I got was 5x points on my main account.
Surely the dot approach will be detected at some stage.

          • @effgee: Not detected in past two years and I dont think they would do much about it.

  • +2

Yes I got targeted for this!!
    $20 off a $50 shop? That's 40% off.
I haven't seen an offer that good in a long time, maybe ever.

    • +5

Actually, since you have to spend an additional $20 next time, it is 28-29% off in total ($20 off $70 overall), but still a reasonable discount - congratulations!

        • +4

Just think it through carefully - you have to spend $50 initially to qualify for the 4000 points, THEN you get $20 worth of groceries (redeeming the 4000 points) off the next transaction.
Overall: spend a total of $50 after purchasing $70 worth of Woolworths groceries (28.6%).

It's a clever Woolworths promo because it seems like a bigger saving than it really is (although still good).

          • -1

@forrester: Not if I convert the 4000 points into Qantas points and sell them for $20. Then it is literally spend $30 get $50 worth in value.

            • @highdealer: Might be time to give up. Pretty desperate scenario, and not to mention you'll also have to spend more at Woolworths to gain 2000 rewards points to meet the minimum Qantas points transfer of 5000 points to someone else's account (and risk Qantas banning your account).

        • +2

Minimum is $20 to get $20 off.
Literally it’s spend $70 to get $20 off

        • +1

I wouldn't want you doing any 'high deals' for me.

      • +1

I actually get that yeah, but it's $20 I'm needing to spend anyway. Even just if it's on Opal top up credit.

It's not like Harvey Norman spend $500 and get 10% back in gift cards is $450 because I don't need to shop at HN.

  • I got the email but it's $150 for me

  • +8

I didn’t get it, so I’m going to shop at Coles in protest.

    • after the recent coles milk fraud, im avoiding coles at all costs

      • coles milk fraud

        I'm out of the loop

      • What about Woolworths underpaying their staff by $3 000 000. ?

        • -2

          underpaying their staff by $3 000 000

          each ????

          • @jv: I wish. I used to work for them, albeit for only a year or so.

        • Underpaying is not a good thing however it's not always a case of deliberately doing the wrong thing it often can be accidental

Also Woolies is paying a back what has paid it back do you see Coles paying the milk Levy to what it promised?

Collecting money for the purpose if charity and not paying it, let alone any of it is as low as you can get in my eyes

          No different to belle gibson

  • +2

I got it too. My problem is: on my second card I'm in week 3 of a promotion, first week was 1000 for $30, then 2000 for $40, now 3000 points for $50.
To maximise points I'd have to spend $50 twice. I didn't see any great specials. What to buy?

    • +2

You can use this offer on Wednesday or later when there will be a new catalogue.

    • +2

Family received 3 of those offers - at same time. Am stocking up on $50 ($15 of bonus points) of packaged goods & drinks.

Some are on special until Tuesday night - so will spend $50 then & $50 next weekend. Trouble is finding enough stock left to make up $50 order.

Just received this 4000pt offer on $50, so stuff those measely 3000pt offers!

      • Good plan. I have $50 ($20 of bonus points) and $100 ($30 of bonus points). I will do both, cannot resist, over 2 catalogues, and stock up on non perishables.

        • +1

          Happy shopping / saving👍

    • What to buy?

      Easy…

  • +1

Received this 4000pt offer on $50👍

Also got a top up to 2000pts on min 5c spend on same card. Now have $30 credit to use towards $50 spend😊

So many presents from Woolies - it must be Christmas🎄

  • -1

4000 WWS points could be worth $50 if you convert them to Qantas Frequent Flyer points for saving up for a rewards flight.

    • How?

      • What zuji probably meant and should have explained is that 4000 WW points = 2000 QFF points which in turn is worth up to $50 (2.5 cents per point) when used to claim QFF flights.

    • @zuji You already said this 5 mins ago and that also got negged.

  • I got 3500 points for spending $50 each week for 2 weeks.

  • +1

4000 for $50 spend for me too, starting tomorrow.

Too bad I couldn't use it today, just did a $280+ Xmas shop that with my banked points and discounts on top, cost us all of $37.

  • no email, boo!

  • I too got the $150 offer. I believe it's targeted towards what you usually spend. I usually spend around $130 so got the $150 offer. Not really worth it in my case. I'd be spending $20 more to get $20 worth.

  • Thanks. Got it too. Just activated.

  • $50 / 4000 points here too

  • Didn't get it this time. Come on, Woolies!

  • 6,000 points for $100 spend here. I spend $30 a week max at WW for my single self. $100 is a big stretch, especially when it doesn’t include mobile recharge or gift cards, etc

  • I received this offer too.
I hardly shop at woolies lately, and I only shop when they give me good incentives.
This offer will come in very handy to purchase some goodies for Christmas that I can't get at ALDI.
