Digidirect has just announced a 15% off everything sale with no exceptions. I’ve been in the market for a Mavic Mini and this looks to be a good price for the combo. The standalone Mavic Mini is $509.15.

Even comes with a bonus 64gb SD card.

Waiting for a great deal on a Mavic 2 pro!

    • +1

Got it for $1799 over Black Friday, thought this was decent!

      • +1

Great price. I would bite at that price.

      • +1

I remember reading you need a license to fly it? How hard is to get one and are there any restrictions compared to mini even with the license?

  • +1

Awesome deal, even comes with a free 64gb sd card

  • Add shipping?

Edit… just realised they have physical stores.

  • Are we able to add on the DJI care ?
    Worth it?

    • Yes and depends if you plan to crash or damage your drone

    • Yes very worth it.

    • Look into the option of adding it as a recreational item to your home and contents insurance instead. I found it was cheaper per year than DJI care, lower excess than DJI care, covers a lot more (ie if you can't recover drone or if its stolen, covers remote etc) and you can keep it covered past the 2 years of DJI care.

      • You might want to double check your policy as I am 99% sure this insurance will NOT cover the drone while IN USE, ie while flying it, making it pretty much worthless

        • I asked directly multiple times when I took it out, and it is definitely covered for recreational use (ie while using it for whatever purpose it is designed for), as its insured as a recreational item. If I only wanted theft or accidental drop insurance (not flying) it would be under a portable valuable, not recreational item. But I didn't check the actual policy to confirm what I was being told, so yeah I will check. I am happy for others to chime in that have their drones insured as recreational items.

  • do they even have stock?

    • +2

I checked today and no stock until new year

  • https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dji.go.v5&hl=e… geez, look at that rating for the DJI fly app.

    https://apps.apple.com/au/app/dji-go-4/id1170452592 ios

I was in the market for Mavic mini, but if the app doesn't work, it may be for naught.

    • +1

App works great, I havent had a problem using my samsung and dji mavic mini

    • One person commented in regard to the app that their expectations hadn't been this subverted since seeing Star Wars.

    • The Mavic mini uses a different app altogether. https://apps.apple.com/au/app/dji-fly/id1479649251

Also, DJI products generally play nicer with iOS devices. I’ve read that you really need a flagship android phone for it to work which is disappointing to many users.

      • +1

ah sorry, I didnt realise I had link to the DJI go 4. Good pickup. the Android link is accurate.

Wow the difference between iOS and Android is massive in terms of app rating.

        • There are only 15 ratings, a few probably from the company itself?

  • Great price! Time for me to do a price protection claim on the CC. Cheers :)

  • Are they registered for GST and is it Australian stock?

    Thanks

    • +2

They are a brick and mortar chain, yes they're legit.

    • +4

DigiDirect are 110% legit. You'll get a proper TRS invoice and Australian stock.

    • Thanks guys. I thought as much, but just wanted to check as I’ve never purchased through them before.

      Cheers

This drone may be under 250g but for that to happen the compromise are massive, very cheap light body that is likely to break on first hit, no active track ,no 4k(that’s not a big deal to me tho)can’t handle much wind, if u flight in a bit of wind and you try to come back against it in sports mode it barely moves you need to bring it so close to the ground to gain speed to bring it back, gimbal freezes every now and then, may have been my bad luck, but I returned it and sticked with my Mavic air

Different review to the ones iv been watching. they all say that there awesome.

      • +5

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=No8pAUUz-LQ Tony's Northrup's review - I respect his views.

He brought up the against headwinds - with videos.

        • +2

yeah that looks like a pretty honest review lawyerz

      • +1

        You mean sponsored reviews?

        • +1

Tony Northrup is not sponsored by DJi, only sponsor is squarespace. Plus he really thrashed the original mavic when he reviewed it..

          • @Xiaomate: he wasn't responding to my reply, but regie69.

      • +1

Like I said could have bought a lemon, I have owned the Mavic pro , the Mavic mini and the air, but yeah that’s my experience with it

        • +2

It does my head in that people would down vote you when you are stating that you have the product and that these are your problems you've had with it. So many people on this site down vote not because they don't agree - but they don't want to believe that the information is true.

    • +2

funny, the people who downvote you and upvote my review clearly didn't watch the video :)

      • +4

HAHAHAHA yeah, i was thinking the same thing

        • Great video and good reviews. I have seen other reviews where the Mini was shaking but videos are still stable. What the reviewer was just highlighting what the essentials should be. However the price factor obviously comes with more features if its more expensive.

  • +2

Love my Mavic Mini, amazing features for the price… No issues what so ever..

  • +1

Officeworks price match? I'll show myself out.

    • Checked already they dont stock them

  • Anyone bought? is there any stock left?

    • Just bought it, no delivery time given though you can find this passage in their T&C: "Christmas has come early. 3 Day Sale: 15% Off is an offer made by digiDirect on current available stock and only while stocks last"

  • +1

In for the Bunnings comments 🍿

    • … where lowest prices are just the beginning.

  • +2

Product reviews of digidirect store are pretty mixed with signs that they regularly sell items without stock or good communication. Just a heads up for anyone hoping to get it for/before Christmas…

  • Been waiting for ages. Cheers

  • Seems like pick up is not available in Sydney (except Miranda) so the only option is to pay $15 shipping, anyone else getting this problem?

    • +1

Just ordered mine with pickup at 3 King St. No problem except that I need to wait till early Jan.

      • That's weird I gave them a call when they opened at 9am and they said their supplier is backed up by 100s of units, earliest indication they could give me is mid-late Jan, and since they don't have stock I don't have the option of choosing pick-up at the moment :(. So good price but I figured I'll take my chances later in Jan for more stock/sales from other retailers, don't need it right now anyway.

        Hope you get yours!

        • Hmm, I used the Live Chat so probably encountered a more ambitious customer rep (I hope she didn't over-promise!). I ordered it online and since there was no issue selecting Click and Collect at 3 King St, I assumed they would honour it. Price has gone back up a while ago though. Hope you will get a good deal in Jan!

        • Btw, got an email update that item is ready for collection. Double checked with the store, and will be collecting it tomorrow! Fingers crossed.

  • +1

I’ve got this “Awaiting Product Delivery” on my order page. Do might not be in stock. Wonder if a rep could chime in..
Seems most places are out of stock of this item.

    Good price though 👍

  • Bought one! Cheers! I was sad I missed out on the preorder price from one of the retailers, but this just blows it out of the water!

  • +2

Brillant drone. Got it for the same price from Georges with Amex $50 cashback. Worth every cent.

  • Got one. Thanks op

  • I would suggest people check stock before buying with the intention of giving it as a Christmas present.

  • Amazon, match it!

    • -1

did you order on Amazon or you just suggesting to get Amazon to match it ?

  • Anyone else having issues completing the purchase. When I tried it said to try again later ;(

  • Price is attractive. Christmas sale will probably cheaper. Only shortfall is no sensor like air and pro.

    • The sensor is the same size as the air. Yes no 4k footage though.

  • Hmm should I buy or wait til the boxing day sales and hope it's cheaper

  • If it is for yourself, personally I will wait for Christmas sale.

  • Pretty good deal.

  • Waiting for a good Mavic Air deal.

  • Dji mavic air single is selling for $999 at office works..

Plus if you use the pricematch if you're after the Air+ flymore at office works extra 5% off so from 1599 down to 1291

    Not bad of a price

  • It's actually cheaper and stocks are ready in-store if you want for Xmax like i do, just buy the drone and 2 extra batteries with charger hub so comes at $676.60

    • Just contacted them through online chat, even before asking when I can get it if I order today they replied 'Unfortunately the Mavic mini is out of stock at the moment. New stock is expected early January' :(

Where can I buy the extra battery and charger hub?

  • +2

Awesome deal. Just got it price matched at JB.

    • +1

Which one? The flymore or basic?

    • +1

      which JB?

    • +1

and they give you the 6GB MicroSD card too?

    • +3

Got the standard one. Don’t need the extra batteries. Got a SANDISK EXTREME microSD 64GB UHS-1 A2 Card too. All for $509.

  • Dammit just went back up in price.
Reckon it will go cheap on boxing day anyone?

    • I was on live chat to check on the warranty period (it's 12m), and the customer rep also told me to quickly place order because price would be revised in 10 mins. Thought she was just trying to hard sell, but turns out she was telling the truth!

      • Funny that they still have 15% banner

        • They probably realised they made a mistake and not supposed to include such a new release item. lol

  • I went to the Melbourne CBD store just after 9am. They don't have any combos, but they do have three (now two) minis. The sales rep later told me that they just got a call from DJI, they won't be receiving any more combos until Feb.

  • +3

Just got word that the Brisbane store don't have any Mavic Minis. We were one of the first to order for Brisbane pickup.

Lesson here is that this store is a full of sh!t

Downvoted the post so that people know to be careful with this store - but good find mitch

  • Pretty disappointing really. They are selling stock they have zero on the shelf.

    No good. Bad business practice.

    • It's a two edged sword I guess. We complain endlessly about these deals almost always having exclusions, yet when they finally offer a genuine store-wide discount that includes preorders and out of stock items they get slammed for it.

      • +1

Where did it say out of stock or preorder..??

        • That's not how you articulated your complaint! But I do take your point. Still after 2630 clicks I would've been surprised if an item such as this was still in stock.

    • I bought one from them using this deal, picked up from store 2 hr after placing order. Tried it out this morning, flying ok in light-ish wind.

  • Have they ever done 20%? Thinking of waiting for Boxing Day.

  • Bought this drone as soon as the deal was posted.
After talking to online chat team, they advised that there is no stock and will be fullfilled by Jan.

If anything cheaper comes might just cancel their order
