      Depends really.

      I bought the Halo steel box, but there was nothing else in it that you'd get with a normal case, so now it looks out of place, and I can't place/sort my collection in a nice straight line (it sort of looks out of place).

      Preorder bonuses depend on the game, but they're usually just cosmetic items.

      Ps. The one advantage you get with a steel box, is that you're less likely to break the disc inside, by stepping on it or something.
