Want to give away my student desk/bookcase/bedside tables - is this the right place?

Hi all

I have a quick question that i am hoping the ozbargain community can help me with

I have never posted on the forums before - but i am a long time lurker/commenter and one time bargain poster (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/38616)

I have recently bought some new furniture, and my old desk, bookcase and bedside tables that served me for 6-7 years while I was a med student are now not needed. They are in good condition. Do you think that posting them on the ozbargain selling/swapping page is appropriate. I am not looking to sell them, rather I would like to give them away.

If i've missed the mark, please do not hesitate to tell me

    Put it out the front of your house with a sign that says FREE

    If its not gone quickly, put $100 or something on it so someone steals it :)

    find your local group, post an "offer" ad and someone will want it.

        you could call a charity that way if its wanted by them, it will go to someone with a need for it, rather tham a want
