Generally, for pens with a lacquer finish, the material is brass, therefore engraved text will be golden colour.
For stainless steel pens, a special laser engraving technique (commonly used in identification of medical equipment) is used to give durable black engraved marks with good contrast. Engraving in silver colour is also possible, please leave an instruction.
