If you stop reading after the word 'Hospital' it doesn't sound like a very good deal.

  • Crap deal that only compares a small number of policies and these parisites drive up the cost of health insurance with their excessive fees.

Use the free government website that compares them all.

    • I tried using the government one and it gave me one policy that was more expensive than my current one, maybe I will have to try again, I might have been doing something wrong,

My advice is find the policy you want then use this deal to get it.

I got MyOwn with AIA Vitality with ctm this way. They were actually really good comparing policies side by side and recommending the one I got. Although they don’t have all insurers

My advice is find the policy you want then use this deal to get it.

This just drives the premiums upwards and you end up paying more in the future.

"When consumers buy a health insurance policy through comparison websites such as iSelect, the company collects commissions from insurers.

The commissions received by iSelect can be upfront, in which case they are levied at up to 50 per cent of the annual premium paid by customers.

That means iSelect can collect up to $2500 on family health policies that fetch average premiums of around $5000.

However, iSelect’s arrangements with insurers can be even more lucrative if insurance providers agree to pay the company so-called “trail commissions” each time consumers renew their policies.

Under these trail commission deals, iSelect gets paid up to 6.5 per cent of the value of the premiums when customers renew health policies each year."

Welcome to the 51st state of the us health system.

  • Does this include switching covers from one company to another? I can’t see anything in terms and conditions.

    • Yep pretty sure. that’s what I did and got the voucher

  • fake phone number

Why do I have to enter a fake phone number?

I'll have to give the insurer my real phone number, anyway, to handle claims, billing etc.

That's only to get the comparison. If you put in your real number, Compare the Market call you every day.
When you're signing up for the insurance, you put in your real number.
