Overseas trip - which credit card to book with?

Afternoon all,
I couldn't find a post with these specifics, so I thought I would make a new one! I currently hold the ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure card and the ANZ FF Black card. Looking to book a Europe trip for next year and wondering which one would have better overseas travel insurance policies. Having read through the PDS for each, I'm leaning towards the Rewards Travel Adventure. Anybody got any insight on this subject?
Cheers!

Do they require you to actually book with the card to activate the insurance? My CBA card doesn't….

    • ANZ Black only requires a minimal spend to activate, was $250. But it doesn't cover rental car claim excess when overseas.

It is up to you to read the PDS for both polices and decide which offers the best cover for your individual circumstances.

  • Pretty sure those 2 cards share the same PDS for insurances.

  • Yep they fall under the same policy. I have a travel adventures card I'm about to lodge a claim through, first time I've used credit card insurance and my first ever travel insurance claim eek!! (got stuck in Fiji due to the cyclone)

Replying to myself but just FYI the claims process was so quick - 1 day response to everything I lodged and next day approval. Waiting for funds to hit my account :)
