  • A lil off topic but can someone tell me if i have a Kmart drone am i allowed to fly it at the park? Or bakyard? Or do u need licence like thos DJi drones?

    • i think no drones are allowed in any public park, i.e. close to residential areas.

There's nothing in the legislation banning residential areas. Need to keep it more than 30 meters from people at all times. CASA regulations are pretty clear. Check with local councils. In Brisbane for instance all council parks are approved for drones up to 500 grams. There are 10 or so parks specifically approved from drones 500g - 2kg. A couple of states let you fly in national parks (Qld one), others don't.
