  • Depending on frame styles at BCF Anaconda are also selling them at $199 https://www.anacondastores.com/spotters?q=%3Aprice-asc
Freddys has some at less than $199 https://www.freddys.com.au/collections/vendors?sort=price-as…

I've had the same pair of spotters for about 8yrs or so and still in good condition.

    • Thanks mate, the link for the ad is Anaconda. It's also the title :) I had a look at the cheap ones at freddys, they aren't for glass lenses so be careful.

      • See now that's what happens when you are up all night and the mind gets foggy after a few beverages you don't read properly!

Yeah the Freddy's one's are similar price once the Halide lenses are selected.

My old pair has the Penetrator lenses which I've used for all sorts of activities, even fly fishing ;-)
Anyone know how the Halide compares to the Penetrator ?

Halide get darker. I have nexus and find them amazing in Darwin on the flats. I went mirrored lens as 99/100 days are brighter than down south

If find it hard to believe that $200 is ever an amazing price for a pair of sunnies.
Surely these can't cost more than a few dollars to manufacture.
Still, looks like they're Australian owned, and not a Luxottica brand, so better than buying Raybans etc.

Unfortunately, you have to if you want quality. Like you said, at least they're Australian.

Mate you don't know much about sunglasses is all I can say.Precision ground Optical quality polarized glass isn't cheap to make.I've got a pair of Spotters that are 20 years old and good as the day I bought them.Tonic is another quality Australian brand to look at,started by Doug Phillips, one of the founders of Spotters.Only a Fly fisherman knows the feeling….

    • Good sunnies are like black men, once you go black… Ive only had the sunnies but my wife assures me its true.
