    Needs Bluetooth.

Its not a true boombox if there isn't a cassette/tape player.

    No Bluetooth? What's the point.

  • Joke post?

Yes and No. it’s the ideal present for the older generation that’s technically challenged. My parents would think this is a great present- Dad would have ELO blasting on this all Christmas.

Bought one and returned it twice due to intermittent failures. I would discourage you from buying it.

The PS55 has DAB, we bought one for our 3yr old for Xmas from Kogan. She loves listening to the ABC Kids station, or ELF radio using the TV. Yeah the sound is pretty crap, these days we get much better quality audio from small devices than back in the 80s. But she won't care about that.

Legit if this had a tape player I'd buy it.

I like to make mixtapes for myself and others and I have this cheap shitty $50 JB deck solely because it lets me record from Bluetooth, SD, or USB to tape and it's just so much easier, but I had to pick up my third (!!!) one of them a couple weeks back because the first two had such bad faults, and they had to like order it in from the other side of the state, everyone's out of stock.

I don't need a good tape player, I have those, I just need a reliable modern day boombox that makes it easier for me to tape shit than having to burn a CD (which is hard enough when my computer doesn't have a disc drive and I have to go to the library or something each time), and record that, while hoping it won't skip or something because the CD part of my hifi has been on it's last legs for a hot minute.

@Sony, pls make one that doesn't cost like $1400
