Promotion for latest Microsoft Surface Pro X, now with 15% off.

Prices after discount start from $1444 for the 8GB RAM, 128GB SDD.
The free case is … meh.

Was going to get the Pro 7 with the 20% discount last week but procrastinated and missed out , and now the 256GB/16GB Pro 7 is $1959 vs the Pro X for $2081, may consider the ProX instead.

  It's a bit unusual to choose the Pro X just because the Pro 7 has become a bit more expensive. They are quite different computers. The Pro X uses an Arm chip, is thinner, has better battery life, but would have difficulties running most Windows apps that have not been recompiled for ARM. If all the apps you required are already natively compiled (browser, office, etc) then you would probably be happy.

    Thanks ! Didn't know anything about the ARM native compiled stuff…and still don't. lol
    I use it for travels and for Microsoft office apps/browser away from the office. The slightly larger screen,slightly lighter weight and better battery life appealed to me. And it looks better than the Pro 7.

      If it suits your workflow, then I agree it's a better computer than the Pro 7.

  Just remember that the Surface Pro X, isn't running an Intel processor so can't run 64bit windows programs, some games and antiviruses. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/surface-pro-arm-app…. It also has a number of other limitations as well such as lack of ports compared to the surface pro 7's.

    Seriously - it would be a great chromebook. Run Android apps on there. So Squid for the pen and ChromeOS for most everything else.
