They had purchased some absolutely rubbish beans and hence roasted them to blackness to hide the taste. It was like trying to drink charcoal. That and they over-heated the milk as well… then under-extracted so it was watery on top of all that. Would love to see a class action stopping them from being able to call themselves baristas!

As a coffee snob I hate to admit it, but McDonalds actually do a pretty average coffee nowdays, sometimes above average.
Admittedly I am from Perth so above average coffee here is bad coffee in Melbourne, but one of the best coffee's I've had in Perth was actually from McCafe.
Their barista (at McDonalds Inaloo in case anyone lives around there) was actually pretty damn good.
Also live in Perth. Can confirm Maccas coffee is Garbo and there are heaps of excellent coffee places in Perth.
That Innaloo maccas is always fresh and well made, can't say the same about my local duncraig one.

Definitely still priced too high, even though you are saving a bit of money if you purchase the meals individually. Needs to be $19.95 at most and include 4 hot drinks.

$6.25 each might seem fine but $4.45 at HJ's - shake and win you might get another coffee, hash brown etc.
Even Maccas $5.95 breakfast was better.

Not a huge bargain but good for my upcoming family road trip since HJs are less frequent. Maccas is an easy $30+ for a family meal. But the $29.95 burger dinner box is pretty good with nuggets and medium sides.

its a good deal for a family of four, i added $1 for an iced mocha, and 4 hash browns can make you fart all day long which is a bonus.
