I have a 7/8 hour transit in Singapore in February! I want to go out into the city only to eat the famous Singapore Chilli Crab!
If you have travelled there before can you recommend restaurants/hawkers/locations so I can go straight there and the go back to the airport!

Second jumbo seafood.
Jumbo seafood for me too but its about SGD90/AUD100 for 1 crab. There’s a Jumbo restaurant located in Jewel, the new mall that’s connected to Changi airport.
Jumbo seafood is good!
To be honest, I’ve found prices standard across Singapore and most of the large/popular stores/chains the same.
I wouldn’t go out of your way to go to Jumbo.
No signboard seafood. And i will also eat pepper crab as well as chilli crab

Pepper crab is better than chilli crab if you prefer things more savoury than sweet. I also recommend jumbo seafood.

It was my last meal in Singapore and like you, I wanted it to be chili crab. One whole chili crab cost about $80 and enough for 2 adults. My dad and I went to the one in the city but it looks like there's one near the airport as well. We went at night time and there was a 45 minute wait. The booking system was via SMS so it may help to have international roaming.
As the meal itself, yeah it was memorable. You'll remember the famous chili crab long after you forget the price :-)
