Heading to Japan for a week vacation in late Jan 2020 and trying to find some nice warm clothing ( including jackets).
Let me know if you recommend any specific shops or deals in this boxing day period.

    I agree.
I went to Japan alone in the middle of winter with sleet and snow in Tokyo.
I found Uniqlo's Heattech shirt underneath some of my normal winter clothes from Australia worked well with me.
If it is really cold, remember to bring or get some glove as well.

    • Uniqlo also have extra warm and ultra warm varieties now, which one did you have?

Depending on how much the clothes cost that you want to buy, you can just buy it tax free in Japan and use it whilst you're there. You need to spend 5000 jpy or more in one store and clothes are allowed to be used whilst in Japan. Uniqlo for example do tax free in store.
