  • Cashrewards is only 5.6% for heath and beauty

12% from 26th Dec, special promotion from Shopback

      • Currently it’s only showing 7% on ShopBack for health, beauty and personal care. It’s only 12% for clothes, shoes and accessories. Unless if things will change tomorrow. Idk.

That's exactly what dangerdanger said haha
Tomorrow the cash back will be 12% on all categories as a boxing day promo.

  • Very irritating that the charging method, whether it's a plug of a cradle or what have you, is never described or shown!

Just plug, also no light indicator to show if full. But an excellent shaver with useful attachments. Great for the price

Philips have a small plug that looks like a mini figure-8. Seems like no one else uses (to my knowledge). Luckily I have a few Philips Norelco shavers from past, that use that mini figure-8 plug.

        Looks like this

I have this one, the charger is a very small 2 prong 240v mains transformer, where the transformer (boxy bit) has the prong directly in it so sits on the powerpoint, and the cord ends in a figure 8 style tip that plugs into a socket on the base of the shaver. I don't have it with me at the moment to confirm exactly which plug style it is.

If you want something that charges over usb you'll have trouble finding one with the same features and quality that this unit has for the price. For travel I have a Phillips BT1216-10 (1000 series beard and stubble) that I got recently for $15 from HN (~$40 currently). It is much lighter than this one and does a decent job, has a travel lock switch and charges via usb micro b. It is not waterproof and only has trimming head though, can't do fpil, fine detail or nose/ear like this one can. If you were to travel with this one the charger is not much more weight or volume. I also notice people selling Phillips to usb a cables on eBay, though I'm not sure if they work or if they might reduce battery life.

Love the first review on Amazon:

DO NOT USE ON YOUR GROIN AND BACKSIDE.
I SAY AGAIN, DO NOT USE ON YOUR GROIN AND BACKSIDE. If used on end, i.e. trimming by dragging it along skin with the points facing toward your skin, it will serrate one’s skin like death by a thousand cuts with a samurai sword. Of course this is virtually the only position it can go in when attempting self trim to the nether regions. Now my perineum and bunghole area are gently healing.

    • Ouch— That is painful

  • I’ve got one of these and the blade isn’t fine enough to cut a sharp neck line on a beard, I suggest getting something with a finer blade if you’re maintaining facial hair.

  • Definitely recommend. Pairs well with a straight razor. Sturdy and gets the job done.

  • could I use this to cut a toddlers hair?

I have a full size trimmer but a smaller one would be good
