too bad that you can't use the pro controller with it.

    • Actually? Can you use the gamecube controllers with the adapter?

      • A lot of the game uses motion controls :/

        • Pass for me then as previous versions of this game weren't great for solo play

With only 4 boards and no post launch content, it's hard to say that the game is worth this.

    • Honestly this. Could they not have added a free board to keep people’s interest? Even some paid DLC if it was any good. It was a step forward as the mini games are quite fun, but the boards are seriously lacking and so goddamn tiny for some reason.

      Bloody Nintendo.

  • yeah not sure if its worth getting

  • Echo the above comments. Game just isn't worth it unfortunately. Not that enjoyable and kids don't want to touch it

    Maybe for $20…

    • was just reading a review for the game and seems outcomes/wining are almost random and based on luck.

Still did not buy any Switch console because of high price games, with Playstation at least after some time it’s possible to find great deals

    • Take my up vote. I have a switch and it is ridiculous the prices of the games, and all the idiots (like the person who negged you and will probably neg me) that support it like it's a good thing. I also have PS4 and 100% agree, gaming is a lot more affordable and fair on other consoles. A Nintendo game that is years old and drops by like $5 and everyone goes crazy. It's a joke.

Whilst I agree to a certain degree I'm more than happy to pay a premium for good games like breath of the wild, Mario kart (even though they're Wii U ports), Mario odyssey because I enjoy them so damn much

          Good on you.

        • This is true, I definitely got my moneys worth with BotW, and I've just purchased Mario kart this morning. But I would have felt a lot better if I could have picked up those games for similar prices to what God of War and other big name games have been selling for recently (I've had my switch maybe 5 months).

It's just the way it is with Nintendo stuff unfortunately. But it annoys me and makes me not like the console and the brand so much.

        • I’ll gladly accept my downvote but I honestly thought Breath of the Wild was overrated. They replaced the fun of big complex dungeons with a bunch of mini shrines all over the place and the story felt pretty basic. All Zelda story’s are simplistic but they still are memorable and get you emotionally attached. Maybe it was the 100 year gap that made it feel like you don’t really care about anyone.

Zelda has always been about trying something different but dunno. Just felt like the best thing it had going for it was gameplay. It was fun. Just wasn’t a game I would buy an entire console for and pay full price 3 years later.

@SlappersOnly: Take my up vote! I did really enjoy it, but it was nowhere near as good as everyone makes it out to be. The weapon breaking system was horrible, it was comical how fast they broke. I would find an awesome new weapon and not wanna use it for fear of it breaking. Also how slow it is to traverse the world made it very tedious, the stamina wheel shouldn't have applied to just general exploring. Combat is fair enough but constantly having to stop and catch your breath when exploring was irritating, even with full stamina wheel upgrades. The horse was no good as it ruled out exploring anywhere off main roads. Good game but not amazing. Definitely doesn't deserve all the perfect 10s it received from reviewers.

who cares about negs, some people like to deny facts not just opinions

        • You're missing out on some of the best first party games around all because you don't want to pay an extra $10 or so. Cool man

          • -1

@cyrax83: It’s more than 10 and anyway it should not getting in the way of your fun what I do. Enjoy.

      • I agree to an extent, and the main reason I play games primarily on PC is having the luxury of grabbing what I want to play very cheap relative to the console versions. However, Nintendo games hold their value, while AAA games on PS4 are heavily discounted within a month of release. I'd rather pay top dollar for a Nintendo first party title knowing that I can sell it if I choose to for virtually the same price I paid rather than forking out $100 for the latest PS4 game and selling it for peanuts even a few months after release.

        • thinking of getting a PS4 just for the cheap games but not sure since there is PS5 coming out soon.

          • @venomx2: Ps5 will be backward compatible with ps games so no worries, you can start collecting

I love how expensive nintendo games are.

    • +2

Agree, the price of Nintendo games are ridiculous. Only reason I own a switch is because mine is modded. Probably wouldn't otherwise.

  • Not a good game

Hoping Smash Bros gets a sale like this

  • +3

Whenever we have friends over and need something to do. This game does get a fair bit of use. Its far more accessible and can be picked up by pretty much anyone.

I think it's worth the buy if you have 4 people to play with on a frequent basis.

However, its not perfect, it could definitely use more maps. And the main annoyance for me is that the menus, and screens in-between turns are so slow.
