  • Anyone know if these 4K + blu ray movies work on a standard blu ray player? Or do I need a special 4K player for these.

      You will need a 4K player…. note in most cases you will get a Blu with these sets…. BUT for the 4K… nope..new player, 4K TV etc etc.

      I was contacted by my local store (Noarlunga) who advised that, despite the website showing stock everywhere, they had zero stock of the movies I purchased. Ordered refunded and price matched with JB 😬

        I just got an email refunding my order after more than a week. Loads of stores seem to have my title in stock wtf.

        Did anyone get their orders?

          I went to pick up my order last Thursday after receiving notification it was ready.

          3 movies out of 6 in my order were the wrong format, and 1 wasn't even available! So I took home 2 with their promise they'll order the rest in.

          This morning I got a call saying the 4 I'm missing are out of stock everywhere and they'll be refunded.

          What load of bull. The website still shows plenty of stock though they always claim it's inaccurate. I swear they just don't want to sell it at the sale price.

          This was only the second time ever I've ordered at HN online, both times left with disappointment. I'm never going to walk into one of their shops ever again.

            @Junk Sifter: Yeah it's complete BS. Last year the same store I ordered from followed through on their commitment to back order at the sale price which made me optimistic they would do the same this year.

              @Punkboy: After calling I managed to get 2 movies and the other 2 sometime in the next 2-3 months.
              Apparently they order through a 3rd party and the order is only fulfilled when quantity is enough.

              @Punkboy: 2/5 ready for pickup, but all movies show as in stock everywhere I look. It's nonsense! I raised the issue when calling the online team, and they said that the ordering manager said to leave it as in stock as they can fulfill the orders when they get it in.

              Should I cancel my order and get refund? Make claim of non-receipt with credit card? Or just wait?

              Ideas?

                @john2383: Depends on how urgently you want them. They are a good price. Maybe wait for a few more weeks, then check back with the online team and ask them to canel the order if you are sick of waiting by that time?

          • @Junk Sifter: I broke my promise the next day following my last post. I walked in and found one of the missing movies in my order on their racks!

            Of course, the attendant wouldn't let me have it because my order had been cancelled. Apparently that movie isn't in their stock system and neither could they order the other 3 movies I was missing.

            Fast forward over 2 weeks and I still hadn't received the refund, so I went onto live chat to be told it was only "approved" 3 days ago. Received a refund confirmation email after ending that conversation saying to wait another 3 days for it process. In all it took them 19 days from cancelling my order to receiving my refund.

            In all this time their website still shows stock available at that store for the 4 movies they apparently don't have.

            What a horrible way Gerry does business. Good luck to his customers. He won't be getting a single cent from me ever again. Note to self, just price match at JB the next time…

            • @Junk Sifter: I was so close to walking in and checking shelves to but decided against it. Of course the answer is to just go to JB for a price match!

  • Not available in store at Maribyrnong, Vic store. I have emailed HN for response if there is actual stock of these products before ordering.
