Shipping came to $9 for me, it's different for different area's I bought some other stuff too so not too sure if shipping is more or less for anyone else

    • +3

Don't understand why shipping would be different. AusPost simplified their parcel costs into 3 weight tiers meaning same price for all Australia

    • +1

      $9? Mine was $8.95

  • +5

got 2 fararri and 2 lambos .. with delivery cost me 26.95 don't want or need them, but hey why not lol

    • +5

That's a lot to pay for cheap toys!

      • +2

i know right! but i have a cat i can chase with 1 and 3 nephews who will think the world of the others (maybe)

        • +1

I got them for my dog. My other rc car looks like something out of Jurassic Park with the roof ripped off from being bitten

  • +1

    Shipping is 10.95 for me

    • Don't know why but I ordered 2 and one 5$ one.
      With Shipping 10.96 for me.

  • +5

Same price here https://www.toysrus.com.au/fast-car-lf08-red-lambo-rc-car.ht… delivery may be cheaper? Or maybe available in store to avoid delivery fee?

    • +1

same website design, so i assume same company .. postage costs the same (and both do not give option for pick up etc)

      • +1

        Same company, same contact details

    • +2

Same price for shipping (this store links to toysruus aswell so guessing its a child store)

      • My dad was friends with the owner a few years ago. Hence my ozb username. Not sure if he has sold it since then, but a few years back it had no connection to toysrus. But gee the sites are identical.

    • +1

Shipping is the same and does not allow store pickup

  • Thanks. Shipping rate is strange at best, 3 cars for $10.95 then 4 cars for $14.95 ¯_(ツ)_/¯

    • +4

Because you're paying for the cars, not shipping

      • +1

it's capped at $14.95 thereafter. So either you order 3 or 5+

    • +14

      Here you dropped this \

  • +1

2x $10 options too (smaller tho)

  • These are like disposable toys.

    • Well yeah, digital non proportional steering movt would give that away but its harmless crap at a few bucks

      • Anything with non proportional steering should be crushed. Even slow ones can be fun with steering that works.

        • +1

Well Brendan, getting crushed into landfill is the eventual fate of all this stuff…

          • +3

            @tonyjzx: Pretty sad isn't it.

            • @brendanm: They come in handy, even if they only last 2-3 hours. @ $5.50 each shipped they are a bit to pricey for my "reward box" (teacher). Grabbed 4 for $22, dunno what I'll do with them yet.

              • +6

@AjsGuns: Pretty sad for the planet though, the amount of resources wasted on this cheap crap.

                • +1

@brendanm: I was going to buy some by then i remember i have one downstairs that hasnt moved for years… and i have a nicer one that is proportional… that is still new in box somewhere in the garage…

  • +1

    Any free shipping coupon code??

    • +1

lol, here we go again! Poor you for living in a shit state!

      • +2

Yeah again. Maybe if it was a Hyundai it would have been cheaper 😅

ps I paid $10.95 shipping to VIC

        • +2

At least this one is fully backed by an Australian company and I bet they have authorised Installers and repairers too, just incase the lambo breaks down.
Next they’ll neg cause there are no batteries!

      • Well the people make the state, now let's see where you live… oh…

    • I’m in Victoria and mine came to $8.95.

    • I paid $10.95 for shipping
What is wrong with you? You live in the country and complain, move to dandenong.

  • +1

Thanks got 2 lambo's and 2 Ferrari for $21.95 delivered. Cheap presents

Shipping was $9.95 for 4 cars to Sydney

    • Brisbane too

  • +5

Starting to think the shipping discrepancy particularly in same state is due to them using Fastway couriers shudder

    • +10

Well in that case, all deliveries will go missing.

      • +4

Due to higher than usual traffic, we've transferred this page to the Toys"R"Us site. Delivery is via Australia Post eParcel, express is via Star Track express courier.

        • Thanks rep, how come the listing says $7.95 flat rate delivery but everyone is getting wildly different rates?

          • @cute as duck: This should be more consistent now that the page is transferred to TRU - around 1,000 were sold in 30min.

        • +1

Ironically, eParcel will be more "express" than StarTrack ever will lmao!

      • dam my last fastways order never arrived

  • +2

These things break over going over a stone

    • +7

      Just like the real thing!

  • +1

Ordered 2 Ferraris and 2 Lambos shipping to country vic..

    Subtotal
    $12
    Standard Shipping
    $9.95
    Order Total
    $21.95

When I added just the two lambos the shipping was $10.95… go figure.

    Anyways, @ $5.50 a piece shipped I can't complain.

  • +11

    Hooray, more unsustainable plastic junk.

    • Wrong site.
Also think about what you write from your fossil fuel’d phone or PC.

      • +7

A phone is useful for more than a couple of hours before it goes to the bin.

      • +6

I think the point is that my PC has run for over 5 years.
I doubt one of these could last running for 5 hours.

    • +7

I’ve actually stopped buying junk since the China vision 1c deals…. got like 6 sent to me going hmmm I’m never going to use these and not only have I wasted time but my mental health suffers a tiny fraction due to it

      • +2

        R U OK?

    • -1

      Settle down, Greta.

  • anyone know whats the radio frequency on this RC?

    • Product listing for this car on Amazon shows that it's available in either 27 or 40mhz… maybe it'll be possible for people ordering more than one car to put in a request for one of each?

  • +5

Cheer OP got 4 cars, here to hoping I can make a cheap RC rocket league haha

    • +1

inb4 "why is one remote controlling all cars?!?"

  • thanks OP bought 1

  • +4

Bought 4 last time for around $7/car I think. Quality is really cheap and none last for more than 2 weeks. Wouldn't buy it for less than $1.

    • +1

well sheep can we get a refund if we just ordered some few hours ago i wonder

  • did i just get jacked.. what am i going to do with 4 rc cars.. plus they need like 5 AA batteries each now I need a deal on 20 AA batteries fml

what am i going to do with this.. i don't have family or pets what is this civilisation?

  • +1
    • The Rastar cars from Kmart are much better quality.

  • Just a warm remind
Don't use alkaline batteries for these cheap toys:)

    • What are we supposed to use? Lead acid?

    • Why’s that?

      • Some kinds of toy cannot handle the power of alkaline batteries especially the toys from China

    • This is exactly why we have Eneloops!

  • +7

World is (profanity) when people buy junk like this for the hell of it

  • I bought 100 of these and plan to donate to kids in africa

    • +1

Dont forget to donate batteries too

    • Using 50 different accounts?

  • +1

grrr … damn Ozbargain … didnt need this … yet … I bought two !

  • TOYSRUS LIVE?

  • any better ones for under $100?

had a go on chrissy with this and its a POS. water on tiles for burnouts. steering is poor on lambo

    • If you want hobby grade 1/28 scale rc cars, lookup up kyosho mini-z. But they come at hobby rc prices.

      • hoping for something in between or maybe more off road.

        • The hobby grade 1/16 RC Buggy here is also presently reduced - this is quite a bit faster and has a rechargeable NiMH battery.

  • Ferrari sold out now.

  • Has anyone received theirs yet?

    • Yes I got 2 delivered on Thursday. My dogs already destroyed one

  • got all 3 as well, one of them does not go forward but the other two work fine.

issue is that they all work on same frequency so you cant have the kids play with two at same time …

  • I'm guessing the reason why they were $1 is because the screws are missing from the battery covers?
