  • Are kids (4 yrs, 7 yrs) also same price?

    • yes

    • This one is adult general ticket.
Therefore you can use this voucher for vmax session as well.

As for the kids, you might just want to buy from cinebuzz. Cheaper

      • Do you have to pay extra for the v Max at the counter or not?
        Thx

        • Just found it haha Thx.
Surcharges apply to upgrade to V-Max or 3D screenings and must be paid at the time of redeeming the voucher. 3D glasses sold separately

          • @Femelo: I have been to the events cinema alot using these voucher.
The previous voucher of 13.50 didnt require any surcharges.
I havent used this voucher yet.
            Can check it for you

            • @fantoo: Really?? so the machine at the counter just scan the Groupon code without knowing if is a standard or V Max? Wow that good.

              • @Femelo: With the previous voucher you could just go online on Event Cinemas and just choose whatever session(including vmax ones) for the same price and enter voucher code and pin. There was $1.5 booking fee.

                However, with this one,
You go to this site and enter your groupon voucher.
This will then give you 2 vouchers. One for the movie and other for popcorn and drinks.
Movie ones can be used in the counter itself or online. However, with this there will be $5 surchage if you want to watch Vmax session.

  • Cinebuzz Summer Family offer is $12 per person

    • That's better if you don't want the popcorn and drink. Your kids may see it differently :)

  • DO NOT BUY IF YOU ARE IN VICTORIA, TASMANIA or CANBERRA.

My mother purchased a similar Event Cinema ticket as a Christmas gift and given I’m in Melbourne I cannot redeem these and there’s no way to contact support to say an error has been made..

Per their website: “Not valid for use at Moonlight Cinemas, Skyline Drive-In or Village Cinemas and not valid for use in Victoria, Tasmania or Canberra)”

Honestly this is as close to fraud as you get: people are unlikely to read fine print terms and just see the headline of a reduced-cost movie ticket - especially given that previously they were redeemable just fine at Village Cinemas.

Buying Groupon always need to read the fine print as it is a discount voucher which bound by conditions for sure, otherwise you just pay full price.

      Thanks you for the warning.

      • My mother didn’t buy via Groupon - it was via a rewards portal at her workplace (a hospital).

The portal site has not updated the terms and conditions (Event Cinemas changed it recently it seems from +Village, +Moonlight and slowly got rid of both options).

It was only upon ordering the tickets were the conditions revealed. Given the hospital is Melbourne based, I’m pretty furious so many staff have been tricked by it — a generous act to reward staff for festive season turned sour.

        • In this case the one to blame is the hospital admin staff who ordered the voucher not Groupon.

What a waste, popcorn and post mix be like 20cents worth
