  • So tempting for my small studio but I'm renting. Might not be worth it.

  • I paid $800 to install a 5kw Fujitsu 1 storey up in an apartment building. Thought that was decent

    • Not on the Gold coast by any chance? I live in a townhouse & need for top floor.
And where & how much was the Fujitsu please? Thank you

  • Just found this if related. Any feedback?

Yes. I have this air conditioner which I bought from Bunnings and I got them to price beat this https://www.sparkydirect.com.au/p/SRK25ZSA-W/mitsubishi-heav…

So I paid $688.50 for it.for the extra $$ well worth it. Best air con I have owned and I have 2 Fujitsu and one just of them just died.

      • Normally Bunnings just price match? Or do they beat it bY 10%?

      • +1

Thanks @dlakers3peat - I reluctantly got Bunnings (VIC) to price match (-10%) that MHI 2.5Kw ($683.10) and a 7.1Kw ($1386) unit too. First they had no issues, then they looked up store location & had to get manager approval. They also wanted to include delivery (since supplier is outside VIC) - luckily the $60 estimate on Sparky Direct drops to $9.95 when added to cart (price goes up alot too, just don't scroll the page 😉). In by the skin of my teeth….

        • That’s great price.

Are you going out of your way to get the most downvotes possible?

  • Any recommendations for someone on the Gold coast for removal of box air conditioner and replace with a new ac? It's to go on top floor of tri- level townhouse so would I be better to just replace with another box ac so no patching work is required to the wall? Would appreciate your help. Thank you

I'm curious, are aircon deals usually better in the cooler months?

    • +1

Yes and I've noticed that around the winter period, that's when you get the nice manufacturer rebates.

You will also find that more installers will charge less for installs also.

Can anyone recommended good installers in Adelaide?

  • no wifi? thats a bummer

  • So a month on, anyone who got this installed have any comments so far?
