So many Xiaomi robot vacuum models now. Is there a chart online or a quick summary around?
My knowledge is still only based on a "mark 1" (like the original, with the top IR hump) and the v2 which has the mopping which I personally wouldn't bother with. But seems to be more or at least the new model names are throwing me off.

      Yes there is

  • No point without floor mapping.

    • I disagree, if you live in a small unit or a house with steps between rooms (the latter being rare in newer houses but more common in old houses with extentions), or for any other reason where you typically only do a smaller section of a house at a time, then the simple unmapped bump and change direction type of vac is fine. If you have a larger house where the robot vac can do the entire house in one hit due to no obstacles between rooms, it's worth having a proper mapping robot

      • For a small space you’ll just use a stick vac and be done within minutes. Can’t imagine why you would put these floor bots out after it cleaned each small room (steps between rooms as you mentioned).

        • Once you tidy the room this gets under the bed in places that are hard to reach, and then while it's vacuuming that room you can tidy the next one. You can do a whole house that way quite efficiently. If you are going to vacuum manually that defeats the purpose of having a robot IMO
