  Looks pretty similar (probably slightly bigger) to my Wanderer 4V dome tent except the wanderer one has an extra cover you throw over the top.

      Still kicking. Easy to set up. Accidentally snapped the string that holds one of the poles together but can still connect all the joints together without it.

      Think the wanderer has 2 windows instead of 1 and the removable rain cover is probably handier if you think it’s not gonna rain to give the tent some more airflow. Probably not worth double the price though compared to this one. Depends how hot it would get inside.

      The high height on both tents is good. Means you don’t have to crouch as much when inside.

    The Wanderer is a much better tent.
    This "Essentials" one will be OK if it never rains or gets windy!

    Good for kids in the backyard, or a beach day-shelter.

      There’s no doubt this is a budget tent. I don’t want to be a brand snob but I’d assume that the wanderer versions may be better quality/build but there are still some good reviews on this tent that suggest it withstood a few heavy winds and rain.

      It’s the risk of buying budget products. This would probably be good for the occasional camper or it might be a flop and the door zipper breaks on it the first time you use it. You never know.

        The wanderer 4V is a budget tent too, currently only $126. But a different design, similar to the better-quality tents.
        I'd recommend that as a minimum if you wish to be prepared for any unpleasant weather.

        Single-skin tents will leak when anything touches the fabric, e.g. your sleeping bag. Only the floor is actually waterproof.
