  • It’s an ugly looking plane.

The over 30 year old G1 toy is so much better then this version.

If you want a transforming plane the 1/48 Valkyrie from Yamato is one of the favourites.

      Yeah but that's actually a robotech/macross character.

      • +2

Yep. My old man got me a “fake” jet fire on a trip to Japan. I was so upset that it wasn’t the real version. If only I had known at the time. :-(

        • Watch the Transformers documentary and you will find out that Transformers version was the copy. Transformers used the maccross tooling, in fact any tooling they could get their hands on just to make money. It was really a sad story to see how much they screwed the franchise just to make money. The mirricle was they they actually successfully rebooted Transformers with the movies and made it cool again.

Personally I loved robotech/maccross much more than Transformers, it seemed a little childish to me by comparison, but that was probably just my age.

          • @Gusper: They are different, Macross does have much better story IMO
I think the idea of Zeta Gundam is also orignate from Macross

I traded my original Jetfire for playboy magazines. I was not a smart child!!

      • +4

The Playboy magazines transformed you … into a man.

        • And the sock grew mushrooms

    • The Yamato Valkyrie is not cheap

  • +5

To me, it looks like the one in the cartoon I watched when growing up.
I think that's the one where Jetfire was found and revived by the decepticons, joined them, but then changed to join the autobots and died at the end of the episode?
I am half tempted to buy, but that would be another thing gathering dust…

    Omega supreme or bust

  • Articulation on this guy looks fun!

  • +6

The missus would love it if I transformed into an 11 inch figure.

  • +4

12 year old me just saw Omega Supreme and realised I don't have a 12 year olds bank account anymore!

This line is much better than the previous combiner wars line. As a collector of 3rd party figures it's still not worth paying 90 for. At the same time 300 or so for Fanstoys Jetfire is excessive. The official masterpiece line was a nice balance of price and quality but prices for recent releases have been ridiculous.

    • Thanks for insight. I was debating too, do you mind if future toys come out to share your opinions? Cheers
