This price seems to be even better than the recent Black / Cyber deals. Most shops have this kit at around $800.

From the reviews I read, this camera is great for photography newbies (like myself). Hence I bought one.

  • This is a pretty great deal. I just sold my two year old D3400 with kit lens and an old 55-200 lens for $500 pretty easily

  • I was looking closely at this camera during the Boxing Day sales. I think the Amazon bundle is the same as it was then (happy to be corrected).

It's a huge amount of quality equipment for this price. In the end, I went with a mirrorless camera bundle better suited to my needs, but at a different price-point. This still looks a terrific deal though!

  • This is a BRILLIANT camera and the 70-300 is freaking brilliant.

    • it’s a good setup to get started with and would take some time to outgrow, i have 2 nikons, d5600 and d3300 with 28-105 zoom ….d3300 very handy camera and takes great pictures….the d3300 came with same 2 lens bundle kit but i find the 28-105 better suited for what i usually do.

next upgrade will be to sony a7 iii but with a lens it’s a $2500 investment and it can wait till next boxing day specials if there are any killer deals.

  • I think you are better off buying a used Fuji Xt20 + Kit lens either 18-55 or 55-200mm Zoom than this Nikon!. I bought a Nikon D5100 couple of years ago with two kit lens. This system is good for slow learning beginners or people do not care about quality because if you like quality you will soon regret your decision.

I later bought a full frame Nikon D750 with 35, 50, 135 Sigma primes and a tamron 90mm Macro prime as well as, Fujifilm X-E3 with 18-55mm Kit lens, 27 and 35 F/1.4 prime. If you ask me which system is better. I would probably say Fuji because you just can't fuji glass!
