[XB1, PS4, Switch, Wii] Buy One Selected Pre-Owned Game, Get One Free @ EB Games

123

I went to EB Games Northland and this deal was going on where you can pick one pre-owned game (PS4/XBOX/Switch/Wii) and you can get the other one free.

Basically you have to pay for the highest one out of the two.

I picked up a few as they have decent games on this offer.

Cheers!! 😁

Even with buy one get one free, some of these prices are hard to swallow.

      • True. Very expensive and games in selection are for most of them very old or not good to play…

it's even worse when you become accustomed to Game Pass which is such great value. It's hard to actually justify these prices with services such as that around for much better comparative value.

    • Added the link.. Thanks 🤘

  • Most of my eb stores have rows of Fifa games and The Order 1886. I wish they would just put all the preowned games alphabetically instead of on trestle tables

Thanks Soulsnake for the link ^

They try, but other customers usually mess it up anyways.

See this all the time for $3 at charity shops.

My local salvos has no clue what they are doing with tech and video games. They are constantly just throwing away Wiis and other console stuff.

Huh. Backwards compatible Xbox 360 games get filtered as Xbox One games

  • It's also Switch and Wii games etc.

      Done.. 🤘

negging this deal, Prices are absurd and like people say, the prices are hard to swallow, most of us here would definately spit.

    • Was it too salty?

    • Negs aren't for rating the quality of a deal.

  • Kinda meh, but GoW AND horizon for 25 isn't bad.

    • GOW and Horizon both are for $19, so $19 for both isn't bad.. you're right!

They've also jacked the prices up on similar games. For example Doom "Sale Half price" is $19.98 brand new yet the "buy 1 get 1 free" preowned Doom is $28. Anyone else here confused?

    • I've been eyeing Lost Paradise for awhile. for $35 I might finally get it

  • Obviously there's a tonne of bad 'deals' in here, but if you're targeting old first party Nintendo games the deals are alright. The problem is finding a store with them in stock :/

Eb games charge a hefty price for preowned games and can't even assure you will get the original box! + there's no stock anyway! A classic eb games ploy to get you to look at their site and buy something. Sorry, but no deal here.

    • i usually buy preowned games do you have any place thats doesnt charge hefty? thanks.

      • Yup market place

Ebay, gumtree, facebook marketplace, second hand shops.

JB occasionally has some good pre-owned deals.

Um, Mario Kart for the Wii is $68. Pre-owned.

    Unbelievable.

    • they offered me total $15 for this console with extra accessories. still in its original box. imagine the mark up when they sell it.

      • Reaally? Sure it wasn't the wii original?

        • no sir. wii U console in original box and all original accessories with the stand-alone mario kart 8 game on disc, and 2 x black controllers with nunchucks extensions.
decided to keep it as it turns out its a hell of an emulation machine.

      • Yeh that's crazy someone would buy it for $200 - $300

I was eyeing ME:Andromeda a few days ago but felt weird paying $9 for a preowned copy. Now it's $24 while a new copy is still $9, lol.

    • It seemingly spent most of last year at the $5 mark. I wouldn't pay nearly double for a second hand copy either

  • I’d shop around between stores. There’s a huge variance in price. My son bought NBA2K17 for $7 yet another store had it today for $20

I dropped in one of their stores at boxing day and their price is so ridiculously high (even when you add in a free game) compare to Amazon's. I ended up buying several on Amazon instead
