    Just bear in mind that sound bars are measured horizontally whereas TVs are measured diagonally… the 41inch may be fine!

  If you care enough about sound to get a soundbar, get one with a satellite subwoofer.

    Disagree!! Most people want to set their soundbar just below the TV, satellite subwoofers add an extra complexity to setting up, particularly with wall mounted TV/soundbar. They're usually big ugly square boxes. A good quality soundbar with a built in subwoofer/s should be a quantum leap in sound quality over what you get from your flat screen TV.

      Fair point but subwoofers can operate remotely and wirelessly. They just need power. You can hide them behind the couch, underneath a table, etc.

      To get the type of subwoofer performance from a built-in sub would require a very good quality soundbar that requires significantly more money.

      I guess you just have to ask yourself how important aesthetics and bass are to you.
