No 3D glasses? I thought they usually include one pair.

    • I'm not a rep, you might want to call videopro direct to make sure.

    • Correct - the KDL55EX720 does not include any 3D specs.

You can buy genuine Sony TDG-BR100 or TDG-BR250 (newer rechargeable version) for about 1/2 to 1/3 of the AU price on eBay. I picked up 4pc of TDG-BR250 for AUD223 delivered ($149ea in shops here!)

    • I dont think any of the new Sony models come with 3D Glasses (correct me if im wrong) and if they do only the top of the range models come with only one pair

    • I think they come with two 3D glasses. Thanks for the info, just bought one.

I purchased one of this model from Bing Lee at Moore Park (Syd, NSW) for $2080 on Saturday. Thought I'd negotiated a pretty good deal until I walked into the official Sony Store at World Square (Sydney) on Sunday and found them for $1999ea ticketed price. DOOOOH! ;-)

Apparently, Sony dropped the AU distributor and RRPs on 7Aug11. Retail stores are only just starting to catch up. Expect to see plenty of deals on this model from $1849 to $1999 between now and the end of October.

my local good guys also have this TV tickected at $1999, but after plenty of hassling they could only take like $25 off. i passed. not a bargain when u factor in shipping.

      • Just had a look and shipping is free!

      • sigh, read b4 u neg.. it's on the heading too = =..
this is cheaper if u factor in YOUR local goodguys shipping charge.

Firstly, it was not on the Heading when i read it, it has been edited and added after my above comment, if you didnt notice…..

either way, $40 for delivery for me from the from Good Guys and you could probably get Delivery included for $1999 if u haggled. in my opinion a $40 (TV + DEL) difference from Store prices is not a bargain for me and i would rather buy it from a local store with delivery then online/interstate…..

Very good deal and, while not a "bargain" for the TV per se, you can't do better (IMHO) that the Sony Skype Camera for $98 extra. (assuming you need one ;-)

  • Holy cow, what a deal.

  • The same TV was the EBAY Group Buy special for $1999 last week - from the same vendor

  • I am looking forward to the 65 inch LED/ LCD model - they said it would be available in a few weeks!

    • cool, i'll wait for it too! :D
