    • WOW! For the first time website that has deals for AUstralia. Im actually surprised.

  • +3

Epic games gave it away for free twice. Please check your epic games library before purchase.

    • +1

The above only applies for PC gamers.

Xbox One owners also got this previously via Games with Gold. Possibly the same for PS4, but I don’t remember.

      • I think it may have been free on plus, I recall not liking this game and it's the only place I can think that I'd have tried it.

        • -1

Too hard so you stopped playing in the first 20 minutes?

          • +2

@Faro: Why the disparaging remarks? I just didn't like it. I'm actually on my third play through of Dark Souls 3 and have platinums for most of them and Bloodborne. I'm not adverse to hard games I just dislike 2D platformers.

            • -1

@[Deactivated]: Then why did you play a 2D platformer???

              • +1

@peterross: Because it was free? That's the idea of PS Plus for me, to play games I wouldn't usually buy. You know that Celeste is a very popular game right guys? I don't think it needs a defence force. It just wasn't for me.

                • -3

@[Deactivated]: lol just trying to understand coz you said you dislike 2D platformers. Why waste your time…

                  • +2

@peterross: I quite like New Super Mario Bros if that helps. Why waste your time cross questioning a stranger's choices on the internet though?

    • Thank you! I thought about buying this but like you said, I already owned it on epic games!

    • What's an Epic games library?

  • +3

I really enjoyed it, however its a very brutal platformer game. It does have fairly generous accessibility options though!

    • -1

It autosaves on every screen. This is nothing on any nes or snes platformer

      • +1

The screens do get pretty long by the end of the game, and you can always try for them sweet, sweet golden berries you get from completing a chapter deathless. (Only unlocked after completing all B-side levels)

        • Wow. I'd be throwing my switch at the wall if i tried deathless runs

          • @belongsinforums: I take it you haven't tried the free Farewell DLC then? I'd take deathless over the DLC any day

            • @Liamjdoan: You also don't have to throw the whole switch, just throwing the Joy-Cons would be much cheaper and almost as satisfying.

            • @Liamjdoan: No. Eventually i got bored since the game doesn't evolve, just endless levels

  • I bought this last time it was $15, haven't finished it yet but it's very good. Not quite as good as Super Meat Boy IMO, but right up there. If you liked that you can't go wrong here.

    • +2

I personally liked it more than Super Meat Boy. Celeste is definitely a great game if you like 2D platformers though like Rayman Origins

    • If you haven't yet tried it I would recommend The End Is Nigh, it's made by the same guy who made SMB and is much closer to SMB than Celeste if you like that style of platformer.

r/tomorrow approves of this underrated hidden gem.

"The wife's boyfriend bought me this game for Christmas before they left on holiday and I haven't been able to put it down since."

  • need undertale on sale too!

  • +2

This game..ugh..just incredible. Brutal but actually fair, generous check points. The music and atmosphere created..utterly unique.
Wish I could experience it again for the first time. Buy it!

    • ok…. jump, wall-grab, jump, token, pause, dash, token, dash, double-jump, wall-grab, climb, wait….jump, wall-grab, jump, token, dash, token, dash aaaaannnnnddd….. I died. AGAIN!

      • Did you end up vocally saying it to yourself like that? I did…

  • Great game. Played in on Xbox via Game Pass. The narrative stuff is a little boring for me but the platforming is fantastic. Really gets the adrenaline pumping at times!

    • +1

I found the narrative hit me a little close to home at times. Really good stuff

      • +1

To be fair to the game, I don't think I've ever played a game for its story before.

  • +1

Nice find OP! Highly recommend this game if you like your side scroller and after something that's challenging. The game is similar to super meat boy if you're after a reference.

  • I wanted this. Amazing. Played the 1st three stages. Fun
