    class action against scomo?

      @thekensai - Should be against the liberal party, not just scomo.

        Seriously, there needs to be a bit of self-accountability here. We (collectively as Australians, not necessarily the ones reading or writing on this thread) voted in the liberal party. They were transparent about their climate change scepticism.

          @blimpyboy - I completely agree. People voted in a party who doesn't believe in climate change, so what does everyone expect.

        Perhaps all those who voted for them ? I mean they knew going in, eg ScrotMo was sacked from Tourism NZ for incompetence… we have Dutton, we had Abbott, we have Joyce we have…. and if you didn't know, shame on you for neglecting your duties as a voter.

        The LNP have done exactly what they promised to do, change nothing, so they don't get much blame from me…. BUT it's taken decades to get to this point… where I am living now (we were burnt out and have moved temporarily, I have people all round me defending the LNP, offering sympathy and blaming the Greens (when I ask them exactly what legislation have the Greens passed through parliament that impacts this ?, they can offer no evidence but then I am a Green's voter but then I have voted ALP & LNP in decades past) so .. I blame my "neighbors", fellow voters.

        We had back burnt huge areas around us and fires the year before, made minimal if any difference and my partner is in the RFS helping and not getting paid, I have asked her to quit the RFS and she has as of 1 Jan informally and will formally at their next AGM. They pay the Stop / Go people at Roadworks and refuse to pay her ? Well, I had enough of her nearly dying twice in this set of fires with fire overruns, 2 more then any of the years before.

        No, the people who voted these clowns in are the one's that are most suffering now. They were fooled by miserly handouts and happily sold out their children's future for a pittance.

        This is just the beginning as climate change isn't something that can be fixed in 1 or 100 electoral cycles.

        Check the detailed map the of the 2019 election (sort by Parties), to see distribution.

  • Although I think it is a nice gesture, given the long waiting list for Legal Aid, the Legal Aid resources are already running thin. I hope the Government is allocating additional resources to Legal Aid rather than just shifting their priorities.

  • I will not be surprised that next bush fire like this coming people will fly out for a long long holiday.
