Cheapest price for Nissan Navara

Hi,

Just wondering what the cheapest price one has paid for a Nissan Navara brand new?

Thinking about purchasing a brand new 2019 run out d23 series 4 ST model dual cab. Trying to figure out what could be the best price and are accessories such as tow bars usually negotiable?

I know before Christmas they were offering 7yrs warranty and a $3500 eftpos card.. Now that promotion has stopped and their warranty is back to 5 years only.

Would I be best to wait for another 7year warranty promotion or just purchase now if the price is ok?

Thanks.

How long are you willing to wait? You might have to wait a year or two :)

    • There is no rush.. But my car is getting older and should be replaced probably this year.. Ideally before EOFY if I can find a good price by then

  • You can do better than a Navara and no I don't mean a Hilux.

    • What are you referring to?

  • -2

The warranty doesn't mean much, miss one service and it won't stand. Drive in dirt and they'll void it. Not just Nissan, most of them would. So I'd go for best deal at the time instead of waiting for 2 more years warranty.

    • Ahh yes, you bring up a good point. On car sales the best I can see for auto is $39,990. Best price I got speaking to a dealership was $38,990. Reckon there is much room in that?

I'm pretty sure this is incorrect.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) says "a manufacturer's warranty is a promise to the consumer that the vehicle will be free from defects for a certain period of time". While a manufacturer can have certain requirements in its warranty terms – such as ensuring any servicing is carried out by qualified staff, according to the manufacturer's specification, and that appropriate quality parts are used where required – it can't require you to service your vehicle through an authorised dealer to keep your warranty intact.

      .

The manufacturer’s warranty may set out requirements that consumers must comply with.

Provided you service the vehicle in accordance with any such requirements, the warranty will remain valid. If the manufacturer’s warranty states that the vehicle can only be serviced by an authorised dealer, this is likely to raise concerns under the Competition and Consumer Act.

      • Have you ever tried to do a warranty claim. The thousands of ripped off customers would disagree with the above. It's not what is written on paper it's how much money and time you have to take billion dollar companies to court to implement that.

  • Have you looked at a similar spec Mercedes X-Class (which is Navara based)? They model has been cancelled and the deals have been very good - in some cases cheaper than a Navara

    • I haven't.. But at the same time too.. Wouldn't servicing be more and less warranty?

      • I have no idea on either count.

Mid Spec Progressive is $47k driveaway. There were a lot of cheaper ones before Xmas.

        Base spec Pure is ~$33k

Better suspension tune, more safety features, nicer cabin.

        • Tried taking a look at a dealership for the X-class, however, they had no stock and they weren't as cheap as the price you saw unfortunately.

          Thanks for the tip anyhow.

          • @kimba88: I think you'd have to hunt around. They were put on clearance last November

  • Looks like someone got a Nissan Navara ST 4x4 auto for $35440 brand new drive away. I think that's now the price to beat. I wonder if anyone has managed better than that! Hope I can!
