20% off YouTube Premium, Netflix & Disney Plus via Gift Cards? Maybe??

Hey All,

So this deal will be live in 2 days for 20% off iTunes and Play Store gift cards.. which got me thinking.

Is it possible to get a 20% discount on the following services if they are attached to your google or apple account?
- YouTube Premium (even via India VPN discounted plan)
- Netflix's
- Disney Plus

Just seeing if anyone has had any success or advice in doing this.

It seems like a great way to get services most people use already for a awesome discount.

Edit:
Can confirm Netflix's no longer accepts iTunes and Google Play as a form of payment.

Disney+ yes. That’s how I paid for my yearly subscription. Purchased $90 with of iTunes cards for $72 and used that to pay for the subscription through iTunes and the Apple app. Watch Disney+ on my Android TV, no problem.

    • Nice!! Thanks for the heads up :)

    Play Store gift cards..

If you mean Google Play gc, these are not on sale from what I can see? It's only iTunes gc's.

    • Good call!! I think that was me just wanting to read what I was hoping :P

They rarely seem to discount Google Play.. And certainly not 20% off either 😔

        • Rats.. I was hoping they would.

Better question.. if you could get GP GC on discount, would they work for a YT Premium sub via VPN from India??

          • @vash5: I know this is OzB but c'mon it's already super crazy cheap as it is!

            • @Pecan: Lol.. true, but if it works why not :P

While Coles has 20% off iTunes…
If you have Flybuys, go to Coles, buy a $30gc and grab something else for $1, go to checkout, exchange 2000 points for $10 off shop.
Basically you will get $16 off….. do this 3 times and you will get $90 worth of iTunes for only $42.

Then pay your Disney+ through itunes.

    • I'm guessing the 2000 pts is a once off for new customer sign ups??

      Seem like a cool idea.

      • Sorry should have explained better. When do your normal shop at Coles and scan your flybuys card, I think it’s every $1 you spend you get 1 point.
When you reach 2000 points you can redeem them for $10 off your shop… but can’t do it just for a gc purchase hence why I suggest to buy something for $1 to benefit the most.

You can only redeem this once a day so while the 20% promo is on you can do this once a day to save just over 50%.

Ok so sounds like it will take you a while to get 2K in pts and not something you in short concessional use. Dont you also have a limited timeframe to use the points??

Thank's for the info and sharing the details :)

          • @vash5: This time around if you don’t have flybuys then you most likely won’t be able to apply to you.
However, what I mentioned is only the beginning of accumulating points. I earn anywhere from 100,000-300,000 points a year. There are always bonus points out there to collect, I have a Coles C/C which also adds points, Coles insurance adds points, and also shopping at other merchants that support Flybuys…
Look into it as you can also redeem points on their site for all different things…. and also convert them to Velocity points (which is another ball game.)
Timeframe to use points? I don’t think so…but I use what I earn frequently so if there is, it doesn’t affect me.

    • what is this 2000 flybuys points offer about?

        • Precisely what Vash5 is saying above. How do you accumulate 2000 points for every $31 spent? $31 = 31 points only?

          • @ykwon10: You need to have the points to make this current offer work for you….

But see my response above…. point earnings are endless and you can redeem them for all sorts of things.
