I have recently been struggling with finding a cheap but good quality screen protector for Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. Did some research and came across this Ringke product. I ordered it on 5-Jan-2020 and it was delivered today 15-Jan-2020 from S.Korea with an AusPost tracking number.

Applied the protector today and, I must say that, I was pleasantly surprised. It was very easy to apply and on-screen fingerprint as well as the stylus works very well. This one has extended wing like sides which wraps around the phone sides. This kind of shape addresses the problem with the older version that kept lifting off when a phone case was installed.

It's not a glass protector and I had tried Nuglas before this soft protector. Calling Nuglas' Note10+ screen potector exceptionally poor would be an understatement. I thought this post could be helpful for my fellow Ozbargainers.

  • Anyone have experience with these? I've had similar ringke in the past (defender) and they got "dented" quite easily and the surface of these was rubbery more than smooth.

    • Haven't used long enough to know about denting. I feel the surface is pretty smooth just as much as the stock out of the box protector

      • Cool thanks for that!

  • thanks OP, just a quick question, will it work with a case ? i am using one of the RINGKE FUSION Protective Crystal Clear Cover.
    thanks in advance.

    • Hi mate, I am using it with spigen ultra hybrid hard clear cover and it works fine. Also tried it with a cheap flip magnet wallet case and works with that too.

      • hi buddy, thank you for the information. also, do you mind me asking the magnet case, where did u get it from?

        • Bought the magnetic case from here. I would recommend steering clear of such cases though because it affects the s-pen. The s-pen won't work on places where the magnets are located.

  • +1

Isn't it essentially just a Hydrogel film? This stuff is typically $5 on eBay.

If you haven't tried it before it would be wise to get a cheaper one and see if you like the touch.

    $20 is too steep regardless

    • I personally wasn't comfortable with manually using liquid glue, UV lights, etc. Preferred this one because it applied really easily while automatically lifting all dirt particles in the process. For me $20 wasn't steep compared to second guessing a $1000+ phone purchase where the other crappy protectors were diminishing screen vibrance and hindering functionalities like fingerprint reader and the s-pen.

This specific video, which reviews several different protectors, was my deciding factor for buying this specific protector: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yDFbT3sSj3I

Earlier I was actually second guessing my phone purchase just because of the crappy response from fingerprint reader, especially when it's been in the news for it. Turns out it was always the protector.
