Amazon is selling off its own speakers at a significant discount for the next week, and for no obvious reason.
The Echo Dot, Echo Show 5 and new Echo are all priced at $30 cheaper than normal.
The Echo Show is $50 cheaper.

The prices for the Echo Dot are nowhere near historical lows (yes, including Gen 3), so it's probably a 'discount' at what is actually closer to a true regular price instead of the algorithm-powered price-gouging.
That said, another explanation is the overdue release of products like the Echo Show 8 into the Australian market — if it's coming soon, that'll force units in the Show range cheaper for sure (my Spot is practically an expensive paperweight now by comparison).

No deal on show 5 (op you said S instead of 5 in description). Show 5 was $79 during all of december.
