I love COTD descriptions for their manchester, they sound like sheer opulence…what you get is more like a hessian sack! :p

I love it when people who don't know the etymology of a term knock the use of it without checking first! Manchester is a colloquial Aus/Brit/NZ term for bed linen, towels etc. Google it champ! You fail! :p

Your post was pointless dribble and you know it. How many times do we all have to hear the same thing over and over again? COTD sux… or similar? If you don't like COTD, don't use them… I don't either, but don't cry about their existence. Try posting something of merit in the future rather than trying to appeal to all the other like minded sheep on here.
I think fair warning about the quality of the products is of some merit to those OzBargainers wishing to become more informed purchasers Marto! Hey, at least I didn't point out that it will be summer before you get them from COTD! :p

Yup, the supposed '1000TC' sheets I bought off COTD a year or so ago certainly didn't inspire confidence when I binned them recently! IIRC I was bitching on here back then about the quality just after they arrived! :o
The 600TC ones I got from Kmart to replace them were actually much nicer! ;)

Australian Wool blend filling - NOTE 'blend', this could be large amounts of polyester.
Cotton rich cover - NOTE 'rich', again means not 100% cotton cover.
There are no actual %s of either of these key components.

Made in China using Australian wool? It must have done a fair bit of travel around the region!
Wool? Why would you get a wool quilt? makes no sense.
Down is best, or hollow-fibre polyester second. Wool is neither lightweight nor easy to wash.
And 500gsm - well it has to be heavy, because it is only wool.
