  • 51% off RRP.

Ignore that. Great soundbar, but I've never seen it priced above $250.

    • The Good Guys has sold it for $299 quite often. Yamaha direct sells it for $349 also.

But yes, it's generally on sale at least at one store at a time below $199. It's a great speaker, have loved mine.

      • Yeah but like many RRP's, if you believe that's a good standard price you don't belong on here. There's never a time when you can't get it for cheaper than that.

  • 109b with suri was will be again $162 as I got them at that price

Aside from Suri, is there much of a difference between those two soundbars?

      • I have no idea I think for the price there good as there new model

Thank you. I wonder why they downgraded the bluetooth version on the new model? Seems odd.

          Bluetooth version 4.2 (versus 5.0 on YAS-108)

Have I got this wrong, they downgraded the Bluetooth version from 5.0 to 4.2!! Most mid ranged or flagship phones now come with Bluetooth 5.0. The range on Bluetooth 5.0 is so much better than 4.2. You can walk around your house (within reason) with your phone in your pocket and not have the soundbar disconnect. Bluetooth 4.2 or lower will have your family/friends yelling at you to come back from the toilet because your iTunes music is disconnecting and that music that was playing from your phone is now a scratchy ear shrieking mess. There are so many other better things about Bluetooth 5.0, like connecting to 2 devices for dual audio, as in connect 2 portable Bluetooth speakers and play in stereo. The range is up to 4x better than V4.2, latency is halved. Also if you are using Bluetooth 5.0 headphones/speaker you can see how much battery percentage is remaining on your Bluetooth 5.0 phone, very handy.
Sorry, I've gone all evangelistic about Umm Bluetooth!!

This is not specific to Bluetooth 5.0. I have this working on my Nexus 6P on Android 8.1 and using bluetooth headphones that are 4.1.

  • Wondering if the hdmi passthrough can handle high refresh rate monitors (144,165hz,240hz)?

Great price for a budget soundbar from a well known name. I like that it has built in subwoofers.
It seems to have excellent reviews (for the price) from both customers and tech reviewers.
But TGG is selling this same Yamaha 120W Soundbar YAS-108B for $169 also plus 2.5% cashback, if you wanted to walk in and pick one up today.

  • Not the best price, but still pretty good.

Purchased one last year and am very pleased with it.

  • Got it during the GoodGuys 20% off Ebay sale last year for $135. Very good for the price.

  • I bought mine about a year ago for around $175 from TGG. Been pretty happy with it, definitely a massive step up from built-in TV speakers. I've noticed though that it only sounds really decent when it's in 3D sound mode with Clear Voice engaged. Plain old stereo mode is pretty crappy.

  • I have this sound bar, doesn't feel that impressive in person.

VideoPro has the ATS-1080B (which I believe is the same model) for $169

  • Is this showing up @ $225 posted for anyone else? Was just about to finally bite the bullet on this model but it seems they raised the price.

    • Yeah have a chat with them because the email clearly states pricing is available until end of Jan. Showing as the higher price for me too
