    Is it really?
    When comparing it to what?
    I get given a couple of free large boxes every year but still don’t get the hype. Happy to be proven wrong.
    The simplest/purest products, such as pure bars are inferior to any of the high quality European competitors.
    These boxes contain the weird/funny ones as well, like marshmallow, honeycomb, brittle, that I classify as junk food rather than gourmet chocolate.

        lindt, moser roth or anything else high quality and made in Europe with no soya lecithin (stuff that Haigh's uses in pretty much everything)

          @Hasbulla: That's interesting. I prefer Haigh's over Lindt but I haven't tried Moser Roth. I'll look into it.

            @Hogg: just a quick one to clarify that I'm referring to the mere chocolate.
            True chocolate - stuff that does not require vanilla added to it.
            Not to the fancy 400 different types of gourmet lollies that Haigh's come up with.

    No. You are paying for postage but to compensate you are getting free chocolate. Kinda balances out

    yeah …..expensive per kg when there are so many swiss and belgium chocolates around now.
    lindt is about $25;kg when on special, aldi belgium is about $21, aldi swiss is about $12 kg.

    but haigh do pay for shop front and staff and i do indulge in their exquisite chocolate sometimes regardless of price.
