  • Pretty shit (cat) deal.

    • Prrrfect for me

  • nice find.

  • +1

    Meow.

ps. $14.38 Sub & Save OP.. (no cashback though)

    • Do they guarantee the price for future deliveries too?

      • +3

Of course not. Just cancel then re-order when it's cheap again..

      • Not sure if there's any guarantee, but I've just checked out subscription of $17.99 (signed up in November) and it shows $14.38 now. So I guess they update subscriptions accordingly (not like Telsra charging customers for years for ADSL 1 service when cheaper ADSL 2 was already available).

    • Oh really? I got cashback on a sub and save for litter recently.

It was Tidy Cats, for $13.45, better than I've ever seen at the supermarket. (86c cashback)

      • +1

Did u actually get the money or just the notification? & ur sure it was 'Sub & save'?

        • Nah, I haven't got it yet - just the notification so I'm inclined to agree with you it won't be approved.

    • +2

You're better off purchasing with subscribe & save though - that'll give you 10% discount, whereas cashback is only 7% ?!

  • This stuff sticks to my shoes.

    • +32

Take your shoes off before you get into the tray to wee or poo.

    • +1

      A cat named shoesy.

      How cute.

    @nighty

You've waited 10 years for your first post and it's a crap deal ?

    • +1

      patience over 9000

    • Surely an OzBargain record!

  • Genius thanks.

  • Just For everyones info this is a paper product, not the more traditional Bentonite clay product.

    • Rubbish. OK, Litter, actually :-)

    • My preference and the cats don't mind it either.

  • I wonder the max amount they'll deliver :)

    • 5

      It's not 30KG its 30L & recycled paper..

Edit: 11.6KG packed weight, i imagine they would split the shipment.

      • It actually would have let me order more than 5 in the basket - but I stuck with 4 else my concierge would probably kill me!

        • That's strange, only goes to 5 for me whether i select sub & save or 1-time order..

  • +1

We use this for guinea pigs.

    • Good for pet rats too

      • +2

I gave it a whirl after last year's Christmas party. Worked well enough.

  • is it possible to schedule the delivery ?

    • +3

If you are prepared to train them. If you are, you may as well train them to do it straight into the toilet.

I miss the days of getting 30L of Back 2 Nature (same stuff) for < $10 from PetBarn!

  • -1

March delivery, not worth the small saving.

    • Agree. Might as well be out of stock

    • Are these paper pellets going to go off? Are you not going to buy any cat litter in March?

This is a good saving for this product, worth buying at max amount and waiting.

  • Missed the days of Petbarn sitewide disc + coupon stack. My 2 year supply is about to run low… thanks!

  • just ordered 6 packs with petcircle this afternoon !!!

  • +2

I used to use this stuff for my cats, but ever since switching to wood pellets with a sift tray I've never looked back.

Wood pellets are cheaper, easier to clean, you use much much less and it absorbs smell so so much better.

I've never posted anything about my cats here, and rarely online but honestly everyone should make the switch.

It's honestly a game changer no exaggeration.

    • which ones do you get that are cheaper? Oz Pet used to be so cheap just a few years ago, like $10 for the big bag, and now they've wisened up and increased it to $24!

      • +1

I guess I just mean cheaper as in cheaper because you use less, not by sheer mass.

        But I use this one
        Catmate
        15kg for $18

        Edit. Sorry link was broken
        https://www.petcircle.com.au/Catmate

Pellets are a bit bigger too so it doesn't fall through my sifting tray as much

        Free delivery too over $49
        Might be worth a shot.

        • Why sift over scoop? Isn't scooping the same as sifting but just on a bigger scale? I'm genuinely curious.

          • +1

@tessel: The wood pellets don't clump, when they get wet they turn into a dust. So with scooping, most of the dust goes through the scoop's holes.

The dust gets sifted into the tray under the grate insert, and all the dry pellets stay on top of the grate, then you just empty the tray into the bin.

Also seems to smell less, because instead of the clump of urine sitting on top, it drys and ends up underneath the clean pellets.

            https://www.kmart.com.au/product/high-side-cat-litter-tray/8…

This is the tray that I use, in the picture you can see the grate.

$15.99 @ PetHouse atm. The 15% sitewide stacked with it the other week too. Free shipping for orders over $29.

But usually horse bedding (which is exactly the same thing) such as HorseMate, Proteq and EquinePure is cheaper from stock feeders.

      • K, you should be able to get Enviropet over there for $15 for the 15kg. Ask Mel from Saving Thumpers :)

    • Wood ? Send a link to product please

You can save even more by keeping your cat outside…

    • Put a bell on their neck at least.

  • Estimated Delivery: Feb 11, 2020 – Mar 6, 2020…?

    • Hope your cat can hold it in.

  • 1-2 month wait for delivery. The cats are going to have to hold on for some time!

  • I did sub and save and it says first delivery will be Jan 30th. I'm assuming you could cancel the sub after the first delivery if price goes back up?
