    Hi,
I have this HD2237/72. I believe this is actually the newer model. It is more powerful (1300W) than the other one (1000W) you linked to. The extra power does make browning meat etc easier.

However as you point out, the older model came with the stainless steel pot as standard. I prefer stainless steel (managed to get it in a GoodGuys promo)

Great buy, use it a lot.

    • Thanks! I'll change the post

  • the stainless pot in one of the models is what set philips apart from other cookers in the past. we now have the instant pot in australia as of late last year which have a stainless steel pot, though more expensive we have seen some specials on the instant pot on amazon and in store at corelle brands .

  • I bought a stainless steel pot from the Philips website. I prefer it over the ceramic one, and it's good to have two pots for cooking multiple things.

  • Should be able to source a stainless steel pot from somewhere surely. Plenty of parts for the Instant pot in the US at least.

  • every time i see a multi cooker post i get excited for the instant pot LOL. still waiting for a sale on the 8litre instant pot. $199 best i seen

  • Good pot, got it for ~$125 from Bing Lee eBay before Xmas

One minor gripe that bothers me more than it should, there is no spot to hang the lid like some of the cheaper models have. Even some Instant Pots allow you to hang the lid on the side handles. It's crazy that this does not come with such a feature.
