[QLD] Two Free Tickets to The Brisbane Home Show

170

Free tickets with registration. You'll have to give up your name, an email address, and a phone number (landlines allowed). There is an opt-out tickbox for receiving email offers.

The Brisbane Home Show is on again. It's for people who want to renovate, or install a new bathroom/kitchen/flooring/pool/whatever.

This year, the home show runs Friday 28 Feb - Sunday 1 March 2020, at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, South Bank. There's usually very little free car parking in the area, I recommend catching a train to South Brisbane railway station, or bus to the Cultural Centre bus station (just across the bridge from the city).

Copy/paste from last year's post https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/483285
"About to renovate or build? Then visit Brisbane’s HIA Home Show to see, try and buy all the latest products for your kitchen, bathroom or interiors upgrade. There are hundreds of new ideas to renovate your house, both inside and out. Get FREE expert advice from more than 280 leading Queensland suppliers, so bring your plans and photos. See everything under one roof!"

According to previous deals, tickets are usually $20, I don't know how long they will be available for free.

  • Landline? Who has a landline here?
Us OzBargainers all have a Samsung Galaxy A20 with a Boost SIM card in it.

    • Who has a landline here?

A lot of internet plans come with a landline number or a - what to call it? - a "landline equivalent" phone number through VOIP.

Almost everyone who is still on ADSL2 has a landline phone number, and many NBN plans bundle it for free, with no option to remove it.

with a Boost SIM card in it

Most OzBargainers want unlimited data, and NBN is almost always the cheapest way to get that.

  • I've never been to one of these shows.
Will they showcase smart homes, smart home devices etc?

    • +1

Here is a list of exhibitors from the last show, five months ago, and I suspect most of them will be coming to this show:

Some of those sound like they sell what you are after. You can probably find the websites of those companies, to see if they have what you want.

  • Can I swap the tickets with airline tickets to Brisbane?

    • Give it a try. Good luck finding someone willing to swap something expensive (airline tickets) with a freebie.
