Currently building this set and I have not finished so I don't have an opinion yet.
One thing I don't like about it as that for whatever reason LEGO decided to separate all parts into 5 sets of bags instead of 10-12 like they usually do with big sets like this one. So you end up with 5-6 bags for every number (set of bags).
Obviously, it all depends on your pace but personally I find it about annoying because I prefer to spend 1-1.5 hours per set instead of 2-2.5 hours like with this one.

I’m guessing customs would demand import tax too. So if you pay $500, you would pay $50 GST and around $27 for import tax. Cash back is about $17. The total would be about $560.

I have been looking to buy my first technic set for quite some time now. But I reckon this would be technical overkill and price overkill. The simpler mack anthem technic might suffice.
I'm so happy to live in a country where the people call it lego, singular, I would go postal otherwise.
