  • I think your Amazon US url is wrong. Should be https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Mindset-Control-Thoughts-Emot…

    • Fixed, thanks.

  • Is this something about #metoo ?

Thanks for sharing this dealbot, but I have to warn people, this book is some of the worst BS I’ve ever read.

I got it last time it was free and started reading only to think WTF am I reading here.

I looked up the author and recommended people have a read before downloading: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Cernovich

Sounds like somebody was a little triggered

Sounds like a gorilla was a little triggered

What does your opinion of the author or the book itself have to do with the deal? Shit reason to Neg.

      • +2

Negs are for non-bargains. Is this book a bargain for being free? Toasty thinks not. Thus the neg.

      • +1

Yeah for real. Not a fan of this guy but it's a free book that used to be almost $8. Seems like the definition of a bargain to me.

Surely the people on this site can make up their own minds on the content and how they interpret it etc etc. If not liking something was a valid reason to neg a deal pretty much everything would get hammered

Good save there, I almost downloaded it.

      • Good save there, I almost downloaded it.

        yikes

    • I got it last time it was free and started reading only to think WTF am I reading here.

Can you remember any WTF moment examples?

      • +1

        Yes, I can.

The first was the affirmations and mantras section with the “I love the smell of napalm in the morning”, which is a great line from Apocalypse Now but really twisted as an affirmation. The book just continues to get weirder from there because he tries very hard to meld military quotes with mindfulness and other popular psychology trends.

        • I think that affirmation just means "let's give it all I've got today!" 🤷‍♂️

          • +2

@KLoNe: Sure, so why not just use the affirmation “I’ll give it all I’ve got today, and I’ve got plenty”?

          • +1

@KLoNe: It means I like the smell of the suffering and misery of others.

            • +1

@syousef: I'm not sure, maybe something more aggressive gets them amped up? Like I'm sure a football team doesn't yell: "let's all have a nice fun game of sports ball today, boyos!"
It's more like: "let's go out there and rip their f**king heads off! Arrrgggghhh!" and then they go on and win the sports ball tournament.

              • @KLoNe: What's appropriate in sports is not appropriate in everyday life. Sports is a way of getting the aggression and energy out without death and with greatly reduced chance of serious injury. If you walk around like a jock at a sports game in your everyday life, you're going to have a bad time. But if you follow advice like that from a self help book you're going to have a bad time anyway.

      Yikes!

Lol @ u using this non ironically

Mike Cernovich is singularly responsible for exposing Jeffry Epstein and his international pedophile ring. Funny how the Wikipedia article you posted is full of smears but makes no mention of Epstein. Why do you think that is?

Here's another link including an interview with him about Epstein: https://www.cernovich.com/epstein/

  • +1

Thanks OP. Cernovich is a whiny cuck who blocked me on Twitter and wouldn’t recognise real right-wing conservatism if it curb-stomped on his face, but I’ll still give his book a read sometime now I got it for free.

    • Interested to know… what would you say are the bullet point summaries of "real right-wing conservatism"?

    • +2

Ah but is he really a cuck if his ex-wife is the one paying HIM alimony? BOOM! Weird Mike wins again thanks to his formidable mindset expertise.

  • +6

Famously a hodgepodge of poorly written nonsense, no matter your politics

    • -1

      Famously eh?

  • +2

    Thanks OP, very cool

  • -2

I was keen to get the book as it's free but reading the Wikipedia about the author. Wtf people shouldn't promote people who push conspiracy theories and fake news.

  • +1

Our records show that you already purchased Gorilla Mindset on 27 Jan 2019.

Don't even remember getting it :)

  • Cernovich is a real scumbag.

    • -1

      Why?

  • -1

Will agree with others here - I think the only way this book is worthwhile is if you're getting paid to receive the book. Otherwise it's just dumpster trash.

    • How does one put an Ebook in the dumpster?

      • More importantly, how does one get paid to receive the (e)book?

      • +1

        Think they mean the e-dumpster.

  • -3

It's safe to judge this book by it's cover because of its idiot author.

  • 99 cents now.
